Ajax Vs City CL Post Game Discussion Thread

Re: mancini

if we do not qualify this season and then then do not get to knock out stage for a third year in a row next season would you come on here saying such things. i do agree with you to a certain extent and would have backed your sentiment all the way last season, but there has to be a point where a change will be needed. im pretty sure champions league knock out stages will be a def target for this campaign. its not just about glory its also about reasonable expectation and what id best for the club.

Bollocks fella, you need to improve the squad and we didnt which leaves us at a disadvantage in the world domination stakes
How about giving Mancini fucking 20 years or even 30 years to improve the squad?
If they don't strengthen the defense don't even dream of retaining the title
Hmmmmmmm..

Yes I thought I smelt something also

i was born in 1968, follow city home and away....always have done

we won the FA cup 2 yrs ago after a 35 yr wait, the year after we won the premier league after a 44 year wait. how dare you tits come on here and demand his head and demand to refuse to go to further games....i am disgusted!

did any of you complaining tits go to rotherham, stockport...or watch us lose at bury???

frick off this board you cranks! i am a city fan till i die....stop embarassing yourself and my club!

You should have been at Maine Road in 1965 against Swindon with 8015 in the crowd.

Half of 'em on here don't know they're born......

Part time supporters.

lol!

you ve trumped me you old bastard.....love it...great banter...cheered me up a treat ! thanks pal! ;)

When i look at some of the players at the moment like Komps and Yaya. I wonder how the transfer window affected them.

They have talked for the last two years how the club is moving forward and will be challenging for everything, then last summer happens. Instead of the promised continuous improvements we let De Jong and AJ go and bring in a has been, two mediocre prem players and Garcia who has a good reputation in europe but not classed as a world beater.

I think when we needed to step on the gas we pushed the brake. I'm starting to wonder if this has knocked something out of the players. Yes we are up there in the league but we have not really played well all season.

What last season showed us that without silva in great form we can be found wanting and we signed no pace or no real cover for him.

Just seen the highlights of the other games and all the good teams had players running at pace against the oposition and moved the ball fast. We are playing like a slow mans Barca. Its like keep possesion even if it's going nowhere. Fortunately we have some world class strikers who are pulling us out at the moment.

On tonights game - we didn't have the usual 65% possesion because the better teams in Europoe close down faster then retain the ball better than most prem teams. This then shows that our midfield players are found wanting - Yaya is a great player in the prem but when we don't have the ball against quality he is seriously lacking

Spot on! even in our darkest hour 12th in div 2 I was there 100% behind the team I would never even think of getting rid of Mancini he's one of the best manager we have ever had! Give him the 5 years to sort us out in champs league he is still learning

Good post
can't Believe all this Mancini out garbage, we are only just starting to compete at this level, suppose they want to go back to the no european football days eh!

So you guys really think that it's not Mancini's problem?

He sure did win us premier league title, but if city wanna make accomplishment in CL he needs to go.

How many years you guys gonna give to Mancini to learn how to play CL before you guys lose patience and yell for firing him?

if we didn t qaulify for the chumps league for the next 3 yrs i couldn t give a shite! mancini and my man city have given me joy beyond anything over the last 2 years. maybe i would be described at school as a low achiever nowadays but at wembley 2 years ago me and our kid cried like babies. i'm pretty happy with that and then the year after

i enjoy football, i enjoy the away day meeting up with the lads. the whole experience. winning isn t the be all and end all. maybe i follow city because yoonited fans sound like you lot...expecting to win...success at all costs.

i'm happy...leave me alone
