Alan Ball / Wonderwall song

I was there when the song was born. It was at Ewood Park in the Alan Ball season and was handed out on pieces of paper to the away end. The verse never took off beyond that day but the chorus did and it was just

"I said maybe you're going to be the one that saves me and after all you're my Alan Ball"

Didsbury, whilst I don't like to disagree with the man who caused Steve Coppell to jack it all in, it stuck around long enough for a lot of us to remember various lines, not just the 2 line chorus.

And indeed an away fan.
