Bollocks. They've never played on the 15th since Hillsborough. And you can have a warning for using the M word.

wow...

Guys, clearly my English was lost on some, I meant that the club managed to play a Munich Tribute, nothing more. Which was our proudest moment for some time! Impeccably handled by all the blues there and emotional for all

Not something I make light off I can assure you, i meant if United can play on anniversary, so can Liverpool

In hindsight, yes my post was brief and could be argued to be amibigous, apologies if it was mis-read by some, it was not the intention............
Good - warning has been gladly rescinded. However that game wasn't on the actual date of the crash. It was the Saturday after the actual anniversary.

I blame Alan Davies anyway............... twat

Last correction I promise:

"make light off" should have read "make light of" and "ambigous" should have read "ambiguous"

Time to put my fingers away for the day I think, that's what 07:00 till 17:00 at a bloody laptop does for you..................

How many times has a fixture fallen on the day though? It's not very often that it has if at all and like someone said they hold a memorial service for it, do you want them to move Liverpool for the day to accommodate everyone being able to attend? Some replies in this thread have been ridiculous tbh and blown out of proportion.

Welcome to the board. I agree. People pay too much attention of the media witch-hunts and too little to the facts.*

If you want to have a memorial service on that day then that's your decision and it should be respected. Chelsea aren't playing until Wednesday.

*Please note: I don't include the Suarez affair in that mind you.

-- Tue Apr 10, 2012 5:59 pm --

They may well have but what the rags do and what Liverpool choose to do can't be connected.

But what about all the people who lost friends and family who want to attend? If that's what Liverpool want to do then there's no reason why they shouldn't in my view. Doesn't hurt anyone (apart from that bitter gooner Davies).

In fact it's refreshing to see a club that puts its fans first, ahead of a mere football match.

They don't refuse to play on the anniversary of Heysel. Or doesn't that matter as the dead were Italians ?

I'm just glad there is no football on 25th June as there were 3 scousers alongside General Custer (whose mam came from Croxteth) so that's another date ruled out.
