Alan Shearer:Tevez to blame if City don't win the title

Carlos Tevez is entirely blameless of this charge. Shearer is merely justifying his existence by saying what he believes everyone wants to hear.

100% with Shearer.

I stuck by Tevez all along and then....

He made the difference last season(FA Cup/3rd place)

He would have made the difference this season.(title/Europe/domestic cups)

Tevez alongside Sergio would have torn every defence apart.

When the team were stuttering in December and January, and when the goals dried up away from home, he would have made the difference.

Regardless of what happened in Munich, he was going anyway, either in January or at the end of the season. So all he had to do was hold fire for x amount of months, get his place back in the team, which would have happened eventually due to suspensions and/or injuries, collect his £250,000k a week, win the title, which we would have certainly done with him in the team, then go to the club of his choice, name his personal terms, and City would have got the correct transfer fee for him.

But no. He decided to......(fill in as appropriate)

Agree with certain things he said, but you can hardly blame Carlos for our alarming drop in form the last few weeks.

I think we should all get behind the club more than ever now, including Tevez.

Boats always go faster if everybody rows in the same direction....

Tevez is argueably THE best striker that City have had in the last 40 years , and it's a fairly safe bet that he'd have added to his personal tally , and Citys goals for column , if he hadn't gone AWOL for a few months ...... those goals could have made a vast difference to our points total at this run-in stage.

Should City win the title , his return will be seen by many as having made the vital difference .... so it's quite likely that , should City not win it , his absence will be seen as one of the main reasons for the failure.

And , quite frankly , that would probably be true ...... we have floundered in games of late where a player of his goalscoring ability could have made all the difference.

How is it NOT Hermans fault if we fail to win the league?

He is one of the worlds best strikers that has chosen to fuck City about and spend months in Argentina. Had he been here, he would have been an option in the recent slump, and also in the games over Christmas when we stumbled. IMO Tevez here for the last 6 months could have been the difference that got us over the line when we were struggling.

I don't like to comment on Tevez because an awful lot has gone on and we are't privy to all the facts. It's hard to know who or what to believe so it's difficult to cast judgement.
