Ancient Citizen said:Steaks from Aldi are superb, £3.99 for rump, £4.99 for ribeye, £5.49 fillet. All have the marbling necessary for a juicy steak, are brownish, not bright red which means stressed meat, and tough as fuck. The butter is great and tinned fruits are the best of any around IMO.
Jams and marmalade are great too, although the fruit and veg is average and no cheaper, same with bread and cakes.
No, per steak, but a very good size. Miles better than anything from Asda, although we do shop in Asda for the bulk of other stuff.johnmc said:Ancient Citizen said:Steaks from Aldi are superb, £3.99 for rump, £4.99 for ribeye, £5.49 fillet. Per steak or for 2?
I shop in Asda - I dont actually think Aldi is that much cheaper and the quality is definately not the same.
