Edin and Aleks have forgiven(doubt they will forget) and they came from opposite sides of the Balkan conflict, now best of friends on an off the pitch...

That was implicit in my point. Apologies if that was not clear.

They have both risen above it. So should everyone else.

Given what went of, might be easier said than done

I've got a great memory of Alexander Kororov.

About two years ago we played some shit foreign club in a pre-season friendly which was live on telly. Late in the game we brought one of our kids on for a bit. I think, but I'm not sure, that it was George Evans. He was skinny and nervous. and he accidentally left a foot in with their dreadlocked, flash harry striker. This poser jumped up and started pushing Evans around and the kid looked upset and out of his depth.

Kolorov ran the whole width of the pitch and jumped in front of this guy and pushed him out the way to protect Evans, clearly saying "Pick on someone your own size", barging him repeatedly with his chest. Flash Harry shit himself and skulked off. I was very proud of Kolorov. He's a tough cookie but there's something really likable about him.
Definitely. He gets unfair stick off our fans at times. He also looks like a right hard c**t.

Remember that pre-season incident and agree with both of them comments.

We had a cup game a few years ago and someone was giving him a dogs abuse all through the game in the N/E corner. In the 2nd half he banged in a free kick and went over to that corner. As everyone else celebrated he just stared in the direction of this bloke who'd been mouthing off. Didn't hear another word after that. Not surprised, it unnerved me a bit and I was applauding him.

I remember that preseason game and when the kid first started getting pushed around my first thought was I wish this was hockey so someone would stand up to that guy (sorry I'm Canadian) and just as I thought that Kolarov comes to the defense of the kid. My next thought was Kolarov is great team mate for doing that. Just part of the reason why he's one of my favourite players.

Kolarov always sticks up for his team mates and is always for the team thats why he's been made captain on occasions 1 ov my favourite players at city ability and desire wise great pro!

Just saw another view on SSN (or whatever the fuck they're caaling it now). AK played a blinder, trying to calm down the Albanian players after a Serbian fan attacked the Albanian players who had reclaimed their flag. Mind you, I wouldn't like to cross him (he looks a mean twat!).

lets see what uefa make off it £10.000 fine and slap on the hand

but if that was England well lets say a 10 year ban in all formats of the game if we are lucky

Seen far worse from England fans - and nothing done about it. Rioting, tearing up a stadium and Nazi salutes come to mind shortly before still being allowed to host Euro '96. That soon got forgotten didn't it?

Are you referring to the game against Ireland at lansdowne road? that was bad, but can't remember any England fans running onto the pitch and assaulting a player. In that game or any other.

Just fans injuring a lot of other fans by chucking benches etc from the tier above. The players were taken off the pitch before fans cam onto it it, and the trouble lasted a lot longer than was shown on the telly. It wasn't hand bags for a few minutes like in Serbia.

I think to a certain extent uefas hands were tied with the timing of that game and how close it was to the start of the euros. Could another country have stepped in at such notice to take over the hosting? I doubt it and I think it was that that swayed it.
