He seemed to be the one orchestrating playing out from the back. Very good performance and stuck to the role Pep wanted him to play
 
The way pep is praising kolarov . FFS . Fair play to kolarov though. He is adapting well

Feared the worst but he was excellent.

I hope he plays at that standard. What a revelation that would be.
 
Can see Kolarov being more integral than clichy this season. I think he will be a better option to have when we are attacking and the full backs tuck in and play as central mids when attacking.
 
Oh look Kolarov is actually good at things...

Excellent performance, about time some at least accepted his usefulness in the squad and got behind the lad. Been here years, obviously cares about the club and has the trust of those around him.
 
Was adamant I never wanted to see him in a city shirt again after last season. He was excellent and did himself proud yesterday, I'm glad I was wrong. I really hope he flourishes in this new role he looked confident, strong and graceful on the ball. After Pep's comment's it looks like he has even more decisions to make about our CB pairing he couldn't have done much more to make a claim for the first team.
 
Pep sees him as more than a left fullback, a left sided central defender might be amasterstroke because he can play for sure
