Aleksandar Kolarov - 2016/17 performances

He's not done too bad in the past couple of games (was good against Sunderland) but he's also not been massively tested yet. I'll reserve my judgement for some of the tougher games (still finding it hard to forgive him for that Southampton performance/the last couple of seasons).

Felt he did better at CB against Sunderland, than he did at fullback against a very average team last night. Always been able to go forward but still seeing lack of pace trying to defend against quicker wingers and still getting out of position. I'd much prefer for us to use him as a backup CB after what I saw at weekend and replace him with someone else to start at LB position. Top teams in prem are not going to let us off as easy!

Perhaps I'll leave @bobmcfc to field this one.......

Don't make me go back to that place

Started the season well but not a CB in a million years and would get absolutely fucking destroyed by most premier league centre forwards , I'll breath easy when Vinny is fit

Anyway I've always thought Kolorov had great ability going forward. His free kicks and shots are insane. Now he is simply having even more brought out of him just because it's constantly being relayed and reinforced during the game. Pep is always communicating which is what a team needs. And constantly rotating the fullbacks will keep them all on their toes too surely

You need a bit of steel in the team (at times)- most of our lot, although feisty, would get leathered by yaya Wilko, no messing with AK, chuffed for him as well!!

Yeah Defo. I gave him fucking loads last season but Pep is the boss. If he likes AK I do too. Haha. I've got no personality of my own! ;)
