Thats assuming the investigation doesn't find he misled Parliament (he did) in which case he faces a byelection so might not even be an MP by then.
In any event we now have an argument within where a petition of 7600 signatures is demanding the Party gets a yes/no vote on whether Johnson should come back. Talk about pandering to a minority. Still we know the old Tory adage - nobody elects a Party thats at war with itself
It's just noise. There is surely no way they can change the rules at this stage without extending the timeframe which would be a bad thing for them.
Surely any pressure for Johnson would just alienate more MPs from him, and Brady may upgrade the revolver to a grenade. It's being driven by a Johnson crony who Johnson overruled the Honours committee to appoint - the party machine won't let it happen.
