The funny thing is, lots of people still say Corbyn, and by extension Labour, are in the pockets of the Russians.
It's almost as if they don't understand that Russia has not been Left/Communist for a generation, and is now the home of RWNJ nationalists who are almost as vile as the Tories.

The disconnect between truth/reality and perception in this country is truly, truly staggering.

Similarly, although Corbyn is not even in the PLP now, some want to believe Starmer will make him Foreign Secretary or something. Because Starmer is a 'Marxist'. Yes, course he is, Cecil!

Cruddas (Lord, crony, ennobled against advice of honours committee - the first time ever) now claiming his petition has enough signatures to force a change in the rules. Let's ignore that he's talking to the Express, and that many of the signatures may not be real members, but the idea of a Lord trying to overturn the Commons party procedure is fascinatingly weird.

Surely if Johnson won, all the people who resigned would vote to bring him down again.

Blair resignation honours = none made, partly due to the recent Cash for Honours issues.
Brown resignation honours = none made (not sure if he resigned anyway), but there was a dissolution list across all parties.
Cameron resignation honours = oh yes indeed, just the 13 Conservative peers (plus 1 labour, and 2 crossbench)

22 Conservative donors ennobled since 2010, for at least £54M, and 9 were made party treasurers beforehand.
Johnson advised by Lynton Crosby to pack the Lords and demand voting for Conservative plans. It'll be sold as ennobling people from the north/Wales/Scotland to balance an apparent dominance of the South/southeast, but it's about as nakedly corrupt as possible.

The bizarre bit is that it's so transparent and not even slightly hidden.

All very true, but slightly more than the three or four words too many of the electorate can hear before becoming bored.
