My post was really aimed at the pro-CP members, if there are any. Whatever argument they may come up with is surely countered by it could be them one day?

I accept people never feel it will be them that’s why Legal Aid headlines get gobbled up so easily

I don’t like the idea of the state killing people. As a concept it’s beyond me - just a quick one, do the US still use the gas chamber and electric chair or are they a thing of the past? I can’t imagine they do but nothing would surprise me

Yeah. Recall May saying the same in 2017 also there are currently four parties roughly on a quarter of the vote. Farage ain’t going away and that splits the vote on the right. Scotland returned 13 Tory MPs. What price them getting back with Johnson as leader? There are too many variables to be sure of anything so calling a GE is a big gamble.

Anyway guess we’ll find out in due course.

Sky data pool done today says it all and despite Boris getting a fucking caning in it, when asked who people would rather have as PM just over 40% said Boris and just over 20% said Corbyn with the rest dont know.

Corbyn is the biggest liability in politics.

And - given the undermining of Brexit for 3 years and the likelihood that it will be binned off - perhaps he has been taking a caning - unless he has been secretly backing a Remain outcome;-)

Belief has nothing to do with it. He needs a solid, workable and realistic plan. Unfortunately, he has ruled out the necessary time to negotiate something new(if it is to be reopened that is) and there isn’t a workable plan that keeps everyone happy.

He will get something close to the current WA and when I say close I mean the same with some cosmetic changes(at best) and some good PR. That will get through but if it doesn’t Brexit will die. Which, unfortunately, won’t solve anything either
