So that happened because he missed a few meetings at a time his scientific advisors were telling him it wasn't a big threat.

I'm not a Johnson supporter but this thread would be so much better with a bit of balance.

Almost seems irrelevant the way you worded that, pretty fuckin important COBRA meetings them mate, FIVE of them too.

The WHO had described it as the biggest possible threat on Jan 30th. Around the same time, his scientific advisers were saying it would infect the vast majority of the country. So maybe he gets a pass for missing the first meeting but the following four?

As for the bit about DNRs, I didn't ignore that at all. Any article you read on the subject includes that detail. The point is that people in homes are saying there was an unusually big drive to get people to to sign them en masse.
That was most likely for residents with dementia. It's a conversation care homes have all the time, sadly.

Anecdotal evidence but they issued a DNR to a fella who lived on my street with an underlying heart condition. He died a few days later at home with COVID so I can believe there's been a surge in these.

That's another awful decision that families have to make.
I agreed to one ten years ago, for my great uncle. It wasn't a nice feeling at all.

Not irrelevant, but I wouldn't say it's the reason we're in the state we are.

And is used to push a narrative that is false imo.

The govs response has been piss poor so far. The original model they used when they were looking at herd immunity didn't even take into account the fact that NHS workers can also get ill. I really hope it improves because the country needs it.

Its relevant because the posters you agree with tell us that things would have been all so different under him.

Thats right had Jeremy won the GE last December we wouldn't have shortages of PPE and sadly over 20,000 people wouldn't have dies from a virus that is spreading globally and the best scientists can barely keep up with, never mind politicians and their crystal balls.

By slagging the government off you are saying your side would be doing a much better job and that opinion will be discussed.

Unless of course these threads are just for slagging the Government and individual Tories off?
Who says labour would do a better job ? Labour is brought up by those who won't put together an honest assessment of the gods handling of this situation,as I said, labour should not be in this discussion,it is a totally guess if they would have been better if worse
