Football was quite happy to play through until Arteta got it. They didn't look at a deferring games until a few other side's went into self isolation as well.

It's not a matter of waiting for cues either. If people want to self isolate, or wear facemasks good for them. But when the scientists and government tell us we need to do something for our own safety I don't want people thinking they know better.

Because they don't.

I understand what you're saying to an extent, but our strategy has lagged behind that of other countries that are also following scientific advice. We've been slower to react. So some of us are questioning the government's judgement and processes now. I think it's possible to be asking questions now but still do as we are asked.
The fact the workings of Sage seem to lack transparency and two members of it (last time I checked) have told the press they found the interventions of Dominic Cummings inappropriate at their meetings, I'm not sure we can afford to wait 12 months before scrutinise government. That can still be happening whilst we're following the advice we're being given.

Not doing PMQs today apparently ....

Widely predicted, a clear theme has emerged.

I’d guess this machevellian charlatan is shitting bricks when he’s alone at night. He cheated and manipulated his way to the prime ministership by reaping the whirlwind of a divided Britain with two divided parties. He slipped in between the cracks by harnessing the votes of the apolitical through soundbites, lies and clever avoidance of scrutiny.

All he wanted was this job on his cv and more daft gold digging birds wanting his flabby cock. He thought Brexit would be his legacy, and he was going to use blame, lies and a biased press to explain away its disastrous consequences. He had it all worked out.

Unfortunately he’s been landed with the biggest crisis in living memory and he’s a million miles out of his depth, and so are the lickspittles he appointed around him. I bet he’s crying into his whiskey when the lights are turned off. Not for the dead, but for himself.

What he thinks of the shit show he has created for UK politics god only knows.

The sad thing is the worst is yet to come, if he allows the weirdo Cummings to drive his divisive and delusional brexit plan to fruition we will be fukced. It was a bad idea before a Pandemic wrecked our economy.

100% agree.

He will still come out of this smelling of roses, though. Look at the way our media reported Italy and Spain, it was like a war/disaster zone. No such reporting now it is on our shores from what I can see.

The NHS will get some blame, as well as 'the science' along with the EU for good measure and I'm sure there will be reports of illegal immigrants bringing the virus with them if he gets in trouble.

It is a play book that works and you only have to glance on here and other areas of social and traditional media to see people falling over themselves to defend him and the government

People in the US are defending Trump for suggesting injecting disinfectant and the inaction which will likely kill north of 70 thousand people, if they can get people to do that then this will just be a bump in the road for Johnson. Until people wake up, but they are encouraged not to be 'woke'

Already seen people claiming that the Doctors and Nurses are liars over the PPE fiasco , you don’t have to dig deep on here to find the NHS being belittled, Johnson being described as a great leader or Trump being held up as sane .
