All the same is it okay with you that parts of society or communities adopt Shariah Law or should all citizens abide by the same laws ?

Like I said, I’m not up on it so do not fully understand if/when it is implemented and the effects. Is Sharia even “law” or merely guidelines?

I don’t know(not something you read on here often)

But to answer your question - all citizens do abide by the same laws. One cannot getaway with a crime by a defence of “its legal under Sharia”, can they?

And then you wonder why the Liberal left has become a joke and Trump wins.

A scientist wears a t-shirt given by his female friend, or makes an innocent joke - hounded for being "sexist"

But sharia law, not really that bad.
40,000 fgm cases in the UK without a single conviction -you are a RACIST for bringing it up
Women forced to cover up, or given a choice between marrying a cousin from Pakistan or being honour killed - ditto

And the obligatory "there are extremists in all religions" bs
Feel free to point out the number of Jewish, Hindu, sikh, Buddhist grooming rape gangs, suicide bombers, jihadi volunteer equivalents...
Why are they so much less likely to be on jail?
Where are their extremists?

A couple of things;
1 - there are plenty of white phedophile ‘gangs’. Look at the Catholic Church and the BBC, football coaches, for starters

2 - are women ‘forced to cover up’. It’s not something I particularly like seeing but if that’s their choice then it’s their choice. Plenty of white/Christian men force and have forever women to do much worse

3 - FGM. It’s brutal. But very difficult to convict as it would mean the girl testifing against their parents. A very hard sell

4 - there are lots of far-right Christian, white supremacist groups. Particularly in America. I’m sure you remember one running over a women in Charlottesville not so long ago. What about the guy in Canada that shot a loaf of people because he couldn’t get his leg over?

5 - forced marridges, again not something I agree with nor do I agree with honour killings

I think we agree on quite a lot. I think you are just missing a bit of perspective

We do not have to polorise every single debate - let’s agree on what we agree on and take it from there

To be fair the British bake off can be pretty brutal too

The world has definitely gone mad. What is a “safeguarding session”. Is it another word for brainwashing.12 Years at school 3 years at Technical College 4 years at Uni never had one. How have I survived all these years. I honestly believe half the problems in the world are caused by people making a big issue out an issue that wasn’t a problem in the first place. Someone must be making a fortune somewhere designing courses that had never been heard of 20 years ago

To be honest I find some of it molly coddling, but the session on seeing signs of needing help and vulnerability have been useful has helped identify students that have been mistreated or living rough, a lad that wasn't getting fed at home through living conditions, and others I could mention, there are vulneral people in society that would have been regarded as x, y & z in my youth when they generally needed support.

Some things in it I find ridiculous but some I find necessary and useful

You know being liberal and left are not exclusively the same, yet on here and the robinson thread thread you bring out the tropes of the modern far right that somehow the left are championing some liberal agenda shutting down peoples rights and free speech while protecting islam, and it's a load of bollocks mate.

One thing the right are doing well at the moment is owning a narrative of saving free speech while attacking book shops and abusing minorites all egged on by the likes of bannon and Johnson getting away with spouting their shite unchallenged by our media.

As for FGM as you claim you cannot talk about it without being called racist, we have several safeguarding sessions at work where the main topic is FGM and it is openly discussed, wirh staff and students no one is beating down our door at work demanding we stop or that we are racist, when parent come round there are several infomation areas mentioning it no one has made a complaint.

We.know in some communities there are issues, but tarring and demonising a whole religion on the mindset of the extremist element is not gonna solve the problems only enhance them.
The liberal left refers to a rather interesting philosophy that's neither liberal nor left.

And well done, very brave of you to talk about fgm in a room, I am very impressed no parents complained about it.

It is also impressive how much "stuff" happens with just one religion, entirely due to "extremists" (where are all those hindu and jew extremists)
But somehow a huge mass of people, just because they vote republican, stay in middle America or oppose uncontrolled immigration are all - every one of them - far right, racist, Deplorable Nazis

Every religion has women subjugated to men’s ideals of what they can or can’t do, based on Bronze Age horseshit. I don’t agree in indoctrinating young women into feeling bad about the threat they pose to men is acceptable.

To blame women for arousing men’s desires is utter shit.

I don’t agree with any religions views on women. The Christian Bible has them as chattels and property. The Quran is even worse. Both need binned and forcing a human being to conceal their humanity is the problem here.

It’s the 21st century and yet here we are with medieval bollocks of male patriarchy indoctrinating women into believing they are a problem and need hiding away. That’s the problem. Bot what Boris Bellend says.

Boris is just very much like many of his contemporary's in the tory party. Oxon/ Cantab educations but numb as a fucking piss stone when it comes to common sense. Absolutely no idea or care about the perceptions that they show. They know who they have to appeal to and what makes their support tick. Those that matter are fundamentally thinking along the same lines as he is and want to see us go back to those days being racist was acceptable. It comes as no surprise that he has just met up with Bannon who has probably told him to crank the divisive racist shit up. Because if Brexshit falls on its arse then he will be amongst those lapping it up.
