Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

Keir Starmer just needs to stay out of prison , off illegal drugs and away from Kyle Walker to secure a prime minister's post after the worst health, economic crisis we will all have known together with a conservative party crammed with the empathy of Ederson after a collision with a teammate!

and they are continually refusing to put someone up for interview or to take questions from any news outlet that won't just lob them an easy "whats your favourite colour" type question so they can smash it over the ropes for an easy six.

The longer this all goes on the lamer the government looks - a remarkable thing to say about a government with an 80 seat majority. Johnsons ability to make such a majority look less and less is a remarkable feat.
I forgot to mention when they do show up to Parliament it seems to only liable the former opposition leader because he can't sue them as it's said in the house under 'parliamentary privilege'.

Sir Lindsey has very rarely impressed me in his tenure. Very little coming from him with regards to the continuous piss taking from Boris and his fellow ministers bypassing Parliament for Twitter or the Torygraph.

I think he was chosen on the basis he has less than 10% of the drive and personality of Bercow. He is more like a librarian than a chairman, as long as its fairly quiet he will let them get on with it. Bercow was a bit of a twat but he was the right man for the job of 2018-19.

I thought that but the BLM protests and the culture wars that continually come round are an absolute gift to the Tories. The likelihood is that the abysmal handling of the pandemic will be viewed as the lesser evil in 4 years time.

I agree.

Bercow is a **** but he was the right **** for the time.

But if they'd stuck to their mean policy, kids would go hungry, so not really much difference in outcome from not wanting to feed kids.

Somewhere I have a quote about Thatcher (I think from Willie Whitelaw) about a strong leader with the capacity to act and not to listen to faint hearts. I used to link it to something much the same said about Mussolini.
You can see who is going to pay for covid spending by where they have tried to go,poor families, minimum wage care workers and other nhs staff who have come from abroad to literally risk their lives to save ours, including the two boris lavished praise on,having those policies in the first place was shameful, boris defended the second one even after careful thought he thought it was correct that they continued to pay to use the nhs if they got ill, added to having to u turn on the death benefits in terms of families being allowed to stay here and we see the nasty party in action

To the nurses who he says saved his life, pay up

All those silly labour voters giving him their vote believing he was going to take care of you

I notice that currently, at Brize Norton, there's a former Voyager tanker visiting - it's now in Jet2 colours. I'll bet the taxpayer didn't pay for the respray.
All of the RAF transport fleet look perfectly fine in grey. If they're good enough for military personnel to travel in, why spend a vast amount of money for a vanity project, especially when the country is in the shit financially?

After all, we're all in it together, aren't we?

It was always the case that part of the tanker fleet was dual use. There’s a core fleet for regular use and a surge fleet for when more RAF operations are required. When not in RAF use, Airtanker can lease them to airlines.

He's giving an interview just now which is all over the place.

I think - it was difficult to tell - that he said while they'd be doing something about preventing discrimination, he thinks people ought to talk about how good the figures on black employment/qualifications are. Look at this shiny thing!

Finished with some twaddle about wanting to know what the other words to Swing Low are, as no-one sings them. Might have missed the point there, and I don't believe he doesn't know more than the one line of it.

Those comments are incredibly Trumpian aren't they ? The black employment and educational attainments particularly. As for the lyrics - 2 minutes on Google will tell him if he really doesn't know. I bet he knows verse two to the national anthem ( the anti-Jacobite version ) and the fact that it was dropped so as not to offend Scots. His political approach is becoming worryingly desperate and veering further and further right.

" Lord, grant that Marshal Wade,
May by thy mighty aid,
Victory bring.
May he sedition hush,
and like a torrent rush,
Rebellious Scots to crush,
God save the King."

That's not the second verse. "Thy choicest gifts in store on her be pleased to pour". Not so sure about rhyming laws, cause and voice...

Its not the lying that should bother us - his whole life is a series of fuck ups joined together by lies - its not his blaming the EU - these are regular for him - remember the bollocks about kippers? However that was at a party conference so he can lie away - what should bother us all is the lying to Parliament that goes unchecked - the adviser in contempt of Parliament who doesn't give a fuck and the fact that all this goes unchecked and unquestioned. God knows they hoped Hoyle as a speaker would be more beneficial for them but Christ Almighty he seems to be allowing barefaced lies.
He'll intervene if someone does call him a liar.

Oh flower of Scotland.....etc.

Not currently - there have been a number of re-writes which is why I specifically made ref to it being the anti-Jacobite version

Johnson probably knows full well that the song is an old spiritual, so on face value the lyrics are Christian and dream of life in the next world over the Jordan with angels. Many such songs, Kumbaya, Down in the River to Pray etc.

The first Minister for Wales has just said on Newsnight that he last spoke to the Prime Minister 3 weeks ago.

I’ve already heard Johnson is lazy, doesn’t bother to read reports and has a kip every day but we are in the middle of a disaster and he doesn’t speak to the leader of Wales in 3 weeks!

His lapdogs call this a collegiate approach.
