Instead his ego led him to purge those people from the party go full Brexit lies win a majority then surround himself with sycophants and swivel eyed loyalist loons who have no objectivity - he had no Brexit plan in reality and always planned to wing it by blaming all the failings on the EU - then Covid came and he had no plan for that either - he wrote a book about Churchill and hoped it was a flu bug - out of his depth he is where he is now - teetering on the brink in total disarray and facing shame

Noticed that today the fall guy minister announcing the investigation in the HoC referred to them as not following "guidelines" rather than breaking laws.

If I was cynical I'd say redefining the crime with the employment of a thesaurus to minimise the potential punishment.

All those people who were fined up to £10k maybe didn't appreciate that not following guidelines was not the same as breaking the law. I await a raft of appeals with baited breath when the No.10 party organisers aren't similarly fined.

The Met are right currently - there's no evidence as no-one has come forward and said "I was there with him, her, him , her, etc etc" There's just a video of something pertaining to something which isn't properly identified in anything that can be used as evidence - yet. That may yet happen, unless the Cabinet Secretary manages to sweep it all under the carpet, but, I think many will come creeping out of the woodwork as being there - or will be outed in some way. I hope so anyway.

There may not be any CCTV - possibly in an area not covered; probably not retained for almost a year afterwards; no grounds made out to look at it yet - still no evidence; arguably, without specific informed consent, any film may not be usable alone as evidence. They won't do anything unless a strong case is made out, and they've made it clear that they don't intend to start looking for evidence in retrospective "party" enquiries - they want someone to present good evidence on a plate before doing anything.
