Well yes people want to move away from fossil fuel but it is not so easy is it. Look at Germany, they stopped Nuclear stations, what happened to them? they had to turn the coal fires back on which made their carbon footprint worse than it was previously. That is a prime example of Cortez's politics, again just look at her rational for croissants, it is pretty obvious she would have to turn the coal fires back on.First of all..
Fook yeah,Wolves!!
Now, to business!
I don't actually disagree with what AOC says. You obviously disagree with the way she says it by saying she speaks about things in a 'childish' way.
I think she actually breaks it all down to its simplicity, so that everyone, Dumb Repub voters and all, can understand the nuance of what she's saying.
That's effective communication! People think #45 is a GENIUS for talking in a more 'childish' manner than 'AOC'!!
It's not her idea about building an economy around Green legislation, it's a think tank's, but she's super happy to be that spokesperson.
Did you know that 80% of Americans support this way forward and actually WANT to cut away from fossil fuel living...??
Did you know that the Gen Z kids of today are more Progressive than anything else and what that means for the US (& other parts of the world) in the future??
Even if you half the republican estimates for what her ideal would cost to implement per household it is a hell of a lot still. A figure only the comfy elite can stomach a it would not hit them as much as your average household. To the rest of us that is crippling.
Your comments on her language are interesting as i have read up on this. You may want to also as it really does not help your position, i say that without ego or some smarmy punchable smile. Democrats have notably used less advanced terminology and oratorical standards when talking to or appealing to non whites. This is an issue of appealing to certain sections of society in a racist manor. In short republicans have not discriminated against anyone and speak to all equally. The democrats have a notably different approach. Namely using small words to those who are black/mexican. These findings are pretty concrete so as not to be open to interpretation but rather definitive results. The report was from Yale if memory serves. You are surely aware of this "dumbing down" issue? The term currently in use is "competence downshift".
Now you may see that as a simplification or someone trying to obfuscate reality, i see that as down right disgusting. The assumption African Americans are less able to grasp advanced terminology i find racist. I would suggest to those who see fit to use this method they are simplistic racists.
I have no truck with sesquipidalian oratorical methods, indeed they are romantic if used correctly and not by some bumbling mp who quickly googled "synonyms for..." so they sound good in the houses. Nor should any politicians weaponize it in such an underhand way in my opinion.
