I meant in the bolded excerpt.. Replacing the word 'AOC' with the word 'Trump' mimicks exactly what Trumpets say. In essense you are more similar than you know to a Trumper.

There would be no America if she ran the show.

She would reflect a large part of the America that actually exists and not just the fantasy America that only exists on Fox News.

Around two thirds of US GDP is produced by the America represented by the likes of AOC. The remaining third is under the dead hand of the GOP but maintains a crucial political bias especially in the Senate. How long do you think people will accept being disenfranchised? How long can the GOP keep gerrymandering elections?

Also the big wealth producing areas are shrinking. As in Europe low birth rates are a problem. The only way to address an aging population and low birth rates is immigration. As with Europe immigration keeps the show going. It fuels innovation, growth and wealth.

What the GOP should be doing is cultivating the new arrivals, encouraging a meritocracy so that when the new money establishes itself it graduates to the GOP as a natural political home. In California they used to vote for Republicans until they introduced an anti-immigration ballot measure in 1994 which helped in the short term but permanently screwed their relations with the growing number of Latino voters to the extent it’s now a one party state.

People vote for (or like) the person who represents what they they think and believe. This is not an astounding revelation. Trump makes racist comments so racists vote for and like him. AOC, or whoever, has liberal views ergo I like her. If she says something I disagree with or goes in a direction I do not approve of I will cease supporting her.

The GoP isn't doing anything to be fair. They generally ignore the City coz it's 80/20 Democrat. Individual Citizens are taking it upon themselves to stand up in Queens and The Bronx.
