You have to let things come to fruition. Sanchez might not have been prepared to burn all the bridges at Arsenal and force the move until Sunday evening.

The suggestion from using the word 'rebuffed' is that Arsenal not only rejected the offer from City but did so in a less than civil manner.

This I find hard to believe. Arsenal are the epitome of old world manners and would never be rude to City, even if they are a bunch of northern oiks.
