It could happen either way. Like I said, next week will be the acid test. By then Sanchez will have been back 12 days and should at least be on Arsenal's bench. Even then it's not unheard of players taking part in a few matches before a transfer is completed, similar to the situation with KDB.

Wouldn't be surprised if he plays a few and still joins us, as you KDB played one match in the Bundesliga and Nasri also played a few IIRC.

There's no point in us getting twisted over the machinations of the transfer window. Sanchez is casting a huge shadow over today's Community Shield and I think it would be in our interests if Arsenal win comfortably today. If this materialises, most fans may take the view that it would be best to take the Sanchez money & invest it on Lamar and another player before the window shuts & move on to a new chapter without the will he, won't he stay/sign bollocks hanging over the squad until January.
