John Cross isn't reliable. Not sure if he gets used as a mouthpiece at times but he routinely gets stuff wrong. Transfers, rumours, even injury news etc. He had Wenger leaving a few months back as well.
its also weird how a know nowt gobshite like him gets regular airtime on talk shite and five live, mind you the latter used to let David mellor host a football phone in show, so not that weird

For me it says, he's been told he'll have to see out his contract with the hope they'll be able to convince him to stay during that year and him asking for a crazy amount of money is just his way of saying he has no desire to stay at Arsenal
Sanchez holds all the cards here. He's hardly on poverty wages as it is, and all he has to do is publicly state that he will see out his contract and will then consider all offers next summer. That would surely rock Arsenal's boardroom and would quickly get him up for sale and within days too.

I doubt he will become a top earner with us,he'll get a decent basic and bonuses on top

I agree, it's just that I don't see him staying at Arsenal even if it is to see out one more year without him demanding some sort of significant pay-rise.

I don't think he necessarily does. If they sell now, they are less likely to qualify for the CL next season. If he stays and he and Lacazette can get them into the CL, even if he leaves on a free they will be in a much better sporting and financial position.

£400k a week is ridiculous. No way are we going to pay that either.

I read it as if Sanchez telling Arsenal that if you want me to stay then it's 400k a week. That's the deal for Arsenal, not others.

Elsewhere he knows he won't get that, but he will get a decent pay-rise.

If he stays and they don't qualify for the CL again, then they are in the shit though

From the john cross article it sounds like Arsenal made one last go at it after telling him he wouldn't be sold, but they don't actually want him to run down his deal and if he just stays firm they'll sell him in due course.
