Agreed, but I think you're missing a couple of tiers between phenomenal (Suaraez, Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, Neuer) and near-phenomenal (Aguero, Lewandowski), almost-phenomenal (Sanchez) then the decent on their day (Ozil etc)

Sanchez is title-winning material. He'd be our new Tevez. And Carlos, for all his ills, was fucking mustard. So is this guy.
Yes yes yes and yes.

So who is the ketchup?

Well it looks like Sanchez is saying, my future is at city, i wont sign a new contract either here or anywhere else, sell me or i go for nowt next year.

the ball is now in arsenals court as they without selling 4 or 5 players give ozil and sanchez a pay rise and then improve their squad? surely its better just to get it done and then they can move on and get mahrez etc?

There is no reason for Arsenal to offer him 400k a week, it makes no sense whatsoever.
Keep him on 130k a week, save 15m on wages alone next season, let him go for free next summer when hes 29 and no longer worth 400k.
The best outcome commercially and footballing wise from an Arsenal point of view is to keep him this season and let him go next summer. That way we would get his last peak year playing for us and wont have to stump up 400k a week for it.
