you think it works out well for you? him leaving on a free spending a season in a team he doesn't really want to be in?

We agree there. Imagine if he's pissed off though. Could very welL back fire.
No offence but if its about titles and CL hed already be at Bayern Munich, I think he's looking for the best deal financially, the last big contract of his career, if he goes on a free next summer he can get a contract + signing on fee which adds up to 400k a week so it works well for both him and Arsenal.
I think the £400,000 a week talk is just aimed at you guys offering him a new contract to be honest and he knows you wont pay it
ok, you fall for the evil money grabbing twat spin
i'll stick to a player nearing end of career who wants to play for a great manager in a competitive league with a realistic chance of winning
Arsenal have been caught by the FFP wage cap according to this reporter. There is no reason for Arsenal to offer him 400k a week, it makes no sense whatsoever.
Keep him on 130k a week, save 15m on wages alone next season, let him go for free next summer when hes 29 and no longer worth 400k.
The best outcome commercially and footballing wise from an Arsenal point of view is to keep him this season and let him go next summer. That way we would get his last peak year playing for us and wont have to stump up 400k a week for it.
he seems to play his best when pissed off. In fact, at no stage last season did he look happy, yet had his best season for us.
if he wants a title he should stay well clear of Bayern. an empty win if ever there was one. could just as easy go to Celtic. No offence but if its about titles and CL hed already be at Bayern Munich, I think he's looking for the best deal financially, the last big contract of his career, if he goes on a free next summer he can get a contract + signing on fee which adds up to 400k a week so it works well for both him and Arsenal.
If he wants to get his 400k a week next summer, he needs to be destroying the league in the last year of his contract. Even Adebayor played great when his contract was running out, Sanchez will always play well, for himself, hes driven like the top players.
These reports have been around for a while mate, so I think they are accurate. Even in case of your option 1 (keep Sanchez) there is still the matter of what to do with Özil. He also wants an increase in wages, and they have to find that money somewhere. Selling Sanchez would solve all Arsenal's issues and allow them to buy further players. Seems like the only logical thing to do, if you ask me.Arsenal have been caught by the FFP wage cap according to this reporter.

Is this reporter's view accurate? You guys must have discussed this?
You are presenting Arsenal's position as if they are dictating events. If this reporter is accurate then Arsenal are backed into a corner and have two choices
1) They keep Sanchez for 12 more months and let him go on a free
2) Sell him to City in this window
An indication as to what Arsenal will do may come from close Arsenal contacts in the media starting to criticise sanchez in public, preparing the ground for the sale.
The other aspect that could be important is if Sanchez and his agent put in a transfer request.
It is very difficult to read what Wenger is going to do. I would prefer Sanchez to stay at Arsenal. I think he has at least one good season left in him, but is he better than Aguero? Arguable. The one feature of his game that is attractive above all else is his personality on the pitch and that is why I think Guardiola wants him. I am not keen as I think his game is going to drop off very quickly as he's an explosive player and they don't age well.
