Every newspaper has changed its position many times on what it will take for the Sanchez transfer to happen, its almost pointless to believe any report until Sanchez or either club comes out and says something.

I believe it's obvious that sanchez wants to leave. It's obvious City are in for him. The unknown is Arsenal's response. But they are not entirely isolated. They must speak to the media, and people around them. They must speak to Sanchez and his agent. Their own thoughts can be betrayed by their own transfer action.

Yes, weve known Sanchez and City's intentions for a while, just the numbers, and where Arsenal stand, is only speculation right now.

I cant argue with any of these points, but your performance in the league, in Cl against Monaco, or losing to us in the cup is hardly an endorsement of him to move.
You are more appealing than us, youre better, and have CL. But its hardly a "we are not rivals, what are they on about" scenario, you finished below spurs last season, you have a lot of work to do, it wont be guaranteed trophies for Sanchez.
I am not wondering why he wants to leave us, he gave his best, and never let us down, in some ways we let him down, but Pep is far more appealing to him than city, thats all im saying. Had Pep gone to United or Chelsea, hed want to go there.
Pep left Bayern and came to ours. Yes you heard me right, Bayern who are light years ahead of Chelsea and United. Ever asked yourself why? He wouldn't come if we were not an attractive preposition. I know you don't like to admit it but we are a very interesting propositon now because we have shown great desire and ambition to be at the top. There are usually multiple considerations players make before they agree to join a club so your narrative that it's just because of Pep cannot be substantiated except you have access to the player's mind.

That Sanchez was willing to prize Bayern away from signing him should tell you something. That the club you claim are nothing special lured one of the finest managers in the game should tell you another.

Also there's absolutely no way to know whether Sanchez would've liked to come if Pep wasn't here so that point is dead on arrival.

Trophies in the cabinet mean nothing. It's all about today. Otherwise he'd join Nottingham forest, they have two big shiny cups in their cabinet. So ok which club right now is most likely to have a that shiny trophy in their cabinet? Fucking bingo.
You are has been. With 20 years of dominance,20 years of mega money in a closed shop,20 years with only one rival,You managed one solitary final.
Seriously I wouldn't come on here playing the Billy big bollocks with that record.
Absolutely spot on Bill and to touch on the bolded I'd say there are usually various considerations players make before they agree to rock up at a club not least financial offers, club's profile, UCL, managers, clubs ambition, friends and family, personal reasons etc etc. It's called the total package. Players are looking at "what's the club now" not asking how many trophies did they win since 2014/15 season. We may have underachieved so far but the largest room in the world is the room for improvement and we are more than willing and able to get this done.

Good post, I like that largest room in the world is the room for improvement phrase, I will use that myself sometime!

No, no, no. 'Recent success' is only counted from the point that Arsenal actually won something. Otherwise it's not fair on them.

We're in a much better position to win the league and have been for a long time and we're in a much better position to win the Champions League because... well, we're in it.

If Sanchez was happy with a couple of poxy FA and League Cups then I'm sure he'd sign a nice long term contract with Arsenal.
In fairness, on a thread about Sanchez, it is fair to limit recent history to the period since Arsenal acquired Sanchez.

And in that period, the Arsenal fan is right that factually speaking they've won more trophies.

That said, his basis for wondering why Sanchez would rather move to City is wrong. City is more talented and as likely or more likely than any other team to win more.

But overall, I see little wrong with what he has said; Pep is a major draw for top players. And had Pep not been our manager I'm not sure Sanchez would want City over say Bayern either.
