For 3 attacking positions we currently have

Aguero, Jesus (partly), Sterling, Sane, Iheanacho, Navas & Nolito

Next season we could have

Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, Sane, Sanchez and Roberts

I'd be absolutely delighted with those options and would consider it a huge improvement over this season. I wouldn't be too worried about having too many options as we once had Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli going for one or two spots in the team. I remember it being much better being like that than it was when a few of them left. There were so many times when we made game changing subs due to the power in reserve we possessed. That's something I feel we miss these days.

For what it's worth, I think Sanchez is a better player/footballer than Aguero, Sane and Sterling, although Aguero is more deadly in the box.

Navas and Nolito will leave and I'd send Iheanacho on loan to a Newcastle or Bournemouth to get regular football in the PL with a team which will try to play decent football.

Navas is playing full back, Nacho rarely makes the bench these days and Nolito is getting 5 minute cameos. All while Jesus is out with a long term injury. While Roberts might be happy playing sporadically for a season or two, none of the other 5 will put up with it for long.

Or perhaps he just reads any of the half dozen national newspapers that reported our interest in him in December/January?

Not sure who you are referring to but Llorente occurred to me before there was any mention in the press (probably around the time I stood and watched him hit a screamer at past us at Swansea). It's an obvious move though. Llorente has proved he can handle the EPL and he might fancy life at MCFC for a couple of seasons even if it is as a Plan B. It's an option we need but probably not one we should be spending big bucks on given that we have Jesus...

We don't really have those options though - or rather we have them but never use them.

At the moment Nolito plays almost never and Navas is at right back.

In fact, Nolito has played 37 minutes in our last 13 league games, and Navas 106 minutes in the same time (excluding the time at right back).

And that's with Jesus out of contention.

So who's going to be the 2 or 3 who never play out of your 6 next year?

Unless you think Sanchez fancies a change of position, and Aguero will be happy sitting on the bench 99% of the time, drawing comparisons like that is, at best, disingenuous.
