Alexis Sanchez

I don't think so. We currently have 4 players at the required standard that are likely to go into a front 3. That's not enough depth. 60+ games a season and Sane still young, Sterling a little inconsistent and Aguero prone to a spell out here and there you might say 5 players for 3 positions is a still a little light if there isn't a youth player or two you could call upon a handful of times.
THIS ^

- Sanchez cannot replace Aguero, Sanchez is a winger and I doubt Pep will even consider doing this.

- Arsenal is driven by money, simple as, they will not miss the chance to cash in and will rather sell their best player instead of letting him go for free. They missed the opportunity and the player holds all the cards now, we can sign him.

People obsessing about overloading our front 3 options fail to see that Sanchez can actually play in any of our front 5 roles. He also provides options in the KDB and Silva positions.
When fit we would have Kun, Jesus, Sane, Sanchez, Sterling, KDB and Silva. 7 players for 5 places and the other two would come of the bench as potential game changers every game. Any injuries/suspensions and we are light on these positions. Roberts's and Gundagan (he also offers options in deeper positions) can step in. That is not overloaded. That is pretty tight.

* with the two match diving ban in place we can expect a lot of suspensions in these positions for 'simulation'. Sky will make sure of that (we already have one of, if not the, worse yellow card count for diving.

Id say nailed on now that Arsenal have failed to get top 4.

He really is a great player that will take our already formidable forward line to the next level imo.

Aguero, Jesus, Sane, Sterling, Sanchez and Roberts for the attack next season is tantalising. Roberts and Sanchez could also definitely play in the KDB and Silva roles and offer us something different to what we already have. Plenty of games to go around for all, you only have to look at today to see how much worse we were when Navas came on, we're only one injury away from having to be like that for an extended period of time. I make Sanchez an absolute priority signing.

Well, didnt think I'd ever say this but I think we got lucky Liverpool getting that last CL place....Less chance Sanchez wanting to stick around now that Arsenal not playing CL football next season....maybe this was the extra little push we needed to get the deal done? fingers crossed!;)

Im not sure Arsenal will sell to a premier league club and although they have previous for selling to us i really can't see it, more likely to Bayern as Robben and Riberi are the wrong side of 30 and he seems a perfect fit for them

The only way I see this happening is if Sanchez forces a move to us.

No way will Arsenal freely sell to City, the fan backlash would that would happen would be huge.

Sanchez will definitely leave. He won't want to waste his peak years in the Europa League with Arsenal.

The question is.....is he committed to sign for Pep? Or could Chelsea or Bayern convince him to join them over us?

Attacking options of: Sane, Sterling, Jesus, Aguero, De Bruyne, Silva and Sanchez would be unreal. Just staggering. And could be a challenge to keep them all happy.

I think this is the key thing. He's 28 now and he'd have to sign a new deal to stay at arsenal beyond this summer which I just don't see. Its no formality that they'll get back in the champions league next year. Us, rags, chelsea, spurs and liverpool will all improve over the summer, where as they've got a job on their hands just to retain their top players.

Imagine having the five of Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, Sane, and Sanchez to rotate for our 3 forward positions. That's two great players off the bench.

If we do sign Alexis I think Paddy Roberts will either be loaned or sold, hopefully the former.

Bayern's record signing is Javi Martinez for £35m. No way they pay 50m for Sanchez in the last year of his contract. They are probably offering around 30m. Also where does he fit in there, Bayern have Ribery, Robben, Coman, Costa. They would have to sell one, probably Costa.

Kroenke will prefer to sell to us for 50m even if it means the fans go a little crazy, it will settle down at some point.
