Alexis Sanchez

Look, I'm not claiming that Pep is ideologically opposed to playing Sergio. My claim is that he probably feels that Jesus and Sanchez are a better fit for the way in which he likes his teams to play. This is not a new or novel idea. This is a view widely held by those that are able to reflect on the season without blue-tinted specs.

On the one hand you claim that Pep will bench whoever does not perform. And then, moments later, you claim emphatically that Sergio "will play very, very often". Do you not see the contradiction? If Sergio performs better than Jesus and Sanchez then clearly he will play. My assertion is that, on the basis of last season, this is unlikely.

Think it's your feeling rather than Pep's. Why do people think they have insight into Pep's mind, to try and prove a point.
It's all about opinions and i don't necessarily agree with yours. Mainly because Pep has stated that Aguero is going nowhere.

The operative word was "probably". I'm not a mind reader and I don't have insider knowledge. That was my assessment based on what I observed and nothing more.

It is all about opinions. I gave mine and it seems that this triggered a mental breakdown in some that could not fathom a different opinion from their own. We can have different opinions and we can disagree respectfully, without name calling or unsubstantiated accusations. At least I thought we could...

I haven't called you names or been disrespectful.

Yeah, as some poster consistently saying we should sell Kun. Although Khaldoon, Pep and Kun himself all said he's staying. Surely they must be lying. No?

That's not true. I said that if it were my decision, I would countenance selling Sergio in order to bring in Sanchez. Not because I don't think Sergio is an outstanding player. Not because I think we need the money. Not because I like to hold unpopular opinions. But because I believe that Sergio would receive limited game time and be unhappy sitting on the bench.

How does buying Sanchez mean less game time for Aguero, maybe less for Sane and Sterling but he'll rarely play as the main striker ahead of Jesus or Aguero.

Let's not go over this again :)
You'll need to read the last 13 pages to find out, but it's not pretty...

If Aguero was going you would know about it now.

I agree we may end up over stocked but this would be delibrate, it may be at the end of next season we have a player we sell because he was not getting enough games. However, the ones that do raise to the challenge will have to have preformed at a higher level. This is the level of competition that drives the best clubs forward and this is what we need.

Real create this competition and it has pulled Isco up a level to oust Rodriguez who will probably be sold. They will also look to buy someone to replace him and it starts again.

Pep wants goals more than he wants wingers. The front three next season will be Sanchez Aguero and Jesus if Peps comments the entire year are to be believed. With fullbacks that can overlap this makes even more sense.
