I literally said Silva dropped off, meaning that he's dropped off from when he was in his absolute prime for you guys, and some have had a hissy fit about it? :/

Isn't it obvious that a 31 year old would drop off from previous seasons? Like is that really a bad thing to say :/
That's the point...he hasn't dropped off, he had one of his best if not his best season for us last year.

He just won player of the year for us.

No hissy fit, just putting you straight because you obviously don't watch us much at all (understandably).

I don't like to stick my head above the parapet because of the flapper tag but here goes ... the longer it goes on, the more I believe he's instructed his agent to manufacture a bidding war to drive up the Arsenal contract offer. At 28 going on 29 this is potentially his last big contract in Europe.

Arsenal are theoretically in the best position to offer him a whopping contract because they don't have to lay out a big fee to get him. In a year that advantage will be gone but in that year Sanchez could also suffer a career ending injury, so Arsenal have the leverage of offering certainty a year ahead of anyone else, if they say they'll decline to accept any transfer bid.

If Sanchez's priority was to play for City under Pep he'd have put in a transfer request. He's not done, possibly because that would mean he'd sacrifice some sort of loyalty bonus. Regardless, this is a clear demonstration that money is at least as significant a factor in his decision as footballing ambition.

I feel the same way

If that's the case then David Silva would be butchering Ozil in terms of chances created, goals, assists and key passes.

Ozil dominates every single one in what you say is a team with no other world class players other than Alexis, that's pretty impressive don't you think?

You have numerous match going city fans telling you he was our best player last season yet you're still on the wind up . . . If not I'm really unsure as to what to say in terms of how you see the game. Stating it's an opinion only . . opinion can be ridiculed if it is clearly wrong, if i claim Bury are the greatest side in the world 'in my opinion' does that mean others can't shoot me down for it?! He was voted our POTY and featured in numerous pundits teams of the year. He is our only player currently who would get into any side in the world, give your head a wobble.

He hasn't dropped off though....

I'd quit whilst behind, if I was you

Then again, if I was you, I'd have actually watched enough of Silva, De Bruyne, Aguero and Sterling enough to have a decent opinion

I'm allowed my opinion on your players? Its not even a bad opinion, I'm just not holding them as in high regard as you guys do which makes sense as you're City supporters.

Huh? Aguero doesn't really get involved in the build up anymore or score solo goals like he used to. He's now a poacher, do you guys not realise that when these players get older they actually do drop off? Aguero has done, as has Silva. Silva has obviously, like I've been told, dropped into a deeper role and started pulling the strings from deep.

That's fair enough, but both have dropped off from their prime, prime form of say 2/3 years ago.
Thats why he won City Player of the Year Award you plum.

aguero,no the complete opposite, silva is getting better and better

Is this the Sanchez thread or the poster-that-doesn't-know-what-he's-talking-about-chat-shit-thread?

I see what your saying as are a lot of other football fans of other clubs and I see u see it as it is because of not having the pleasure to watch Spanish Dave every single game? Us city's fans that did would say that was probably his 2nd best ever season for us after the 11/12 season.

As i said sergio scored more goals last season than ever before
You are on a pure wind up now

Aguero is in his prime now.

If you'd watched him in the second half of last season you'd know that he played more for the team than at any other point previously in his City career.

Ozil won our player of the year award in 15/16 and was irrelevant after January? It means nothing who wins the individual award.

Okay tell me this, if David Silva was so good why didn't he get nominated for the PFA player of the year award?

I think anyone would have interest in him while he's only got a year left on his contract, it makes sense. I also believe if you came in with £70m+ we'd sell, I mean why wouldn't we? He's coming up to 29 years old soon and is in the last year of his contract. Probably has 2 years left at the absolute top.

However anything around the £50m mark is a no go. Forcing our hand is important, we'd find it difficult to turn down 70m+.
I don't want Sanchez. I think he's been a magnificent player and I'd have taken him over any City player in recent seasons, but it's all about the future and he'll fade and fade as fast as Rooney

he patently is not. Check his league goal output.

Silva player of the season and Aguero his highest scoring season in a City shirt. Hope they both drop off next year too.

For me he's only got two seasons left at the very top. If you're paying him say 300k a week that's a huge investment along with 60-70m. Is he worth 50m a season for you guys that is the question.
