Sorry blueinsa for going off topic slightly but I just wanted to add something about Evans, that's Ferguson, Wenger and now Pep thats rated him or tried to sign him. That's a not bad trio to have behind you, perhaps he isn't that bad.

Wenger would push for this hard. I could also envision a scenario where PSG buy Mbappe and then City funds that by signing Sanchez who Arsenal use to fund Draxler.

of course he isn't. City fans spent lifetimes rubbishing Utd players and that's all it comes down to.

I hope you are right, but Wenger will be drop kicking Sanchez out of the door to Paris.

Plus, there will be many clubs after Draxler. Arsenal hold the ace in the hole with offering Sanchez as a swap, a player who PSG would love to have.

If Arsenal still stand firm at £60mill, take it or leave it, final offer, fair enough.

Or do you want us to do an Arsenal and offer £1 over £50mill.

Blow Arsenal's resistance out of the water, and blow the other teams away in the PL. Done!

That £60mill and more will come back when we win the PL, and go on a good run in the CL, maybe even winning it.

One more point. CL money is paid in Euros. Look at the Euro/pound exchange rate now and what it could be at the end of the tournament. The pound against the Euro isn't going to rally anytime soon.

What I am saying is that City should go up to £60mill to secure Sanchez, regardless if they get to that figure or not.

For the sake of an extra £10mill Arsenal might bite, regardless of how the payments are structured.

An extra £10mill spread over a 5 year contract is peanuts to City.

If we eventually get him, and get him for less than £60mill, great. But if it takes that much, we should pay it.

Is 60 the limit though, or another 5 and another five. Not disagrreeing with you my personal limit would be £65 mill, but the club must have a cut off. Actually I'm starting to think Mbappe could be more likely than Sanchez now, if thats the case I'd hang fire a few days anyway and see if we can get Mbappe. Dont think we need both.
