Arsenal don't have the quality in their squad to win the title. That is obvious. Personally, even with Alexis, I don't think they have the quality to finish top 4.

The only way even from Arsenal's point of view that this decision will be worth it is if they make top four. If they don't finish top four, then they have absolutely thrown away £60m for Alexis to stay for a season. If they finish 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, whatever, then the only reason Wenger held on to him will be all for not.

Wenger is taking a £60m gamble with terrible odds.
