ALL things Rooney PLEASE! [Merged]

Re: Victory

Whilst it's true that our magnificent club has been the most dignified throughout this saga, the same can't be said of this board.

The wankfest that was all the Rooney threads was truly stomach churning. Will he or won't he? Polls, why he will, why he won't, putting photos of people with City shirts with Rooney 10 on was all, quite frankly, something which rag cafe regulars can only point to and laugh. It was truly an embarrassment of gargantuan proportions. Every thread, it seemed, made reference to the fat ginger scouse bastard.

Whether it was the excitement of the possibility of him coming here and the media hype, I'm not sure but I hope that in future, we stick to the edict of a lot of bluemooners and either leave the odd transfer roomer (did you see what I did there?) to the transfer board, and not create loads of threads, or just keep schtum.

And whilst I'm at it, although I think the mods do a fantastic job, I think some of the threads should have just been zapped or merged into one thread, as it was truly embarrassing seeing so many.

I think this is a smokescreen so he can go in the summer and united get a premium fee rather than he leaves for virtually nowt. Both sides kiss and make up and get what they want - like the Ronaldo deal ended up being.

Leave them too it.....TICK TOCK goes the clock

My thoughts exactly, and I said the same thing when the BBC interviewed me outside Old Trafford (I work across the road from it) They realised I was a Blue and asked me if I was disappointed he hadnt signed, I told them my exact thoughts, hes over rated and with his off field antics we never wanted him anywhere near our good club. The lady laughed. So if you see some daft looking blue with a daft spiked quiff and a black jacket on telly later saying something along the lines of above thats me!!
Wahay made it onto telly. They cut most of my rant and put it on BBC news. I don't know how to post videos but some very helpful rag put it on you tube for me under "overweight city fan" not best video in the world as it's recorded from a telly. But it's my 15 seconds of fame

The only bad thing to come out of this is it is guaranteed he will be fit for derby and will score the winner in fifth minute of fergie time. You could almost put your mortgage on it.

Cheers Rammy you know how to make someone depressed. ;)

Tolmie do u think we will be after torres in jan??

We are 'constantly' after him, some things never change in terms of Mancini's own targets.

It remains to be seen, though, is Liverpool's need for a sale bigger than it was in the summer?

They certainly would never have sold him to United, that's for sure.

Forget Rooney. Torres is the one. If we are still there or thereabouts come Jan, we should move heaven and earth to bring this lad to the club. He'd score the goals to win us the League imo.

Someone would have paid them for him and I think the name on the back of shirts worldwide will more than pay for his wages.
I much prefer a victory on the field and by finishing above them in league more than a my cocks bigger than yours playground one
Exactly, which is why it is an OFF PITCH victory
No one said it isn't a victory.

We're saying it's far from being our biggest.

Where has this come from that we were after ROONEH,or is the nited spin machine on fast forward, dont let the truth get in the way and all that,i tgink the truth is the phone at the fuhrer didnt ring with any offers.

Either that or they're waiting for a more convenient moment. The only way that this ends the matter is if the phone still isn't ringing come August.

I agree Torres is the one I always wanted at City he'll love it at City with Sliva Tevez Balotti but does Mancini want him? do we need him?

Re: liars

Well we can wait and see if the Scum follow Rooneys initial wishes and start to spend big on world class players to replace Tevez and the Tranny...

If they dont....then it was all about the money... eh Rooney ??
The mighty Manure..held to ransom..made to pay..

Just shows how desperate to keep hold of rooney they actually are..

well they cant fulfil his wishes of world class players so a weekly backhander will suffice.

Re: Victory

its another serious wad on their pay budget.

let's hope his form stays the same and it will be even better that he stayed

So they keep their best player who brings into the club way more than they pay him in wages and it's a victory for us ? I'm lost on this one.

I much prefer we win on the pitch with a league title and then footballing world will see us as emerging victouious, im sure nobody is saying looks rooneys staying that makes city victorious off the pitch if so I'm lost again.

Wining on the pitch will lead to winning off it, if we over then next few years to win nothing hollow victories off it will be worthless

Re: liars

If the aim of the excercise was to get people talking about them then its been a huge success...personally i enjoyed the sideshow but now its time to get back to reality.....we are 2nd in the league with a 6-pointer on sunday.......they are shit.

I will go to bed on sunday evening, wake up on monday morning, we will be 2nd in the league 6 points clear of our nearest rivals....they will still be shit!

Yes.......Yes and Yes!

He would of been here in the summer if he didn't take the bad advice he was exposed to hearing.

If there's the slightest eyebrow lifted from his camp we'll be there in a heart beat..............that's for sure!

The victory is that 50% of us didn't feel we wanted, or needed him and that other stella talent, Torres, Dzeko an etall, was well within our grasp. The victory, is that no one is bothered he has signed a 5 years contract, as we are looking at our squad and if his signing might actually disrupt it. The Victory, is that we were the media's bet for his next club, showing how serious we are now being taken. The Victory, is that the rags see getting a key player to stay is a victory. The Victory, is that our club hasn't fallen over itself to sign a recognised quality player, why? Because we have a growing number ourselfs.

Veni, Vidi, Vici

Good post. Agree.

If ever the phrase 'only city can afford him' has been overused, it has been this week.

Maybe in your mind but nobody i spoke to last night at the game wanted him here....one or two were indifferent though but liked the idea because of the shit it would cause if we bought him.
