I knew this would come up after the game and seriously those that don't understand why we pass the ball around at the back should watch the match again. It is all very much pre-determined and it set up many of our attacks yesterday. The one in particular effort was the Carlos one where I think he poked it wide. In the early part of that move Lescott and Kompany knocked it to each other 3/4 times before the Wigan midfielders stepped forward, Lescott had the ball and 3 of their players came towards him, he passed it back to Vinny who then had some space, played a ball into midfield then it quickly went to Tevez who came very close to scoring.
It's that kind of thing that goes right over the head of most, they say it's boring and slow but it's actually very clever when they have 11 men behind the ball. To entice 3 midfielders or forwards to the ball immediately sets us up with an advantage if we get it past them.

Unfortunately, premiership defences are very rarely fooled into loosing their shape by a team that is playing the vast majority of their football in the middle of the park and all in front of them.

What I find exciting is playing matches in March & April that are actually meaningful & having serious discussions about winning 2 trpohies this year as well as 3rd place in the League. Pretty exciting stuff if you ask me

It's all about points in the league now, losing 4-3 breathtakers is absolutely no use at all.
You keep doing what you're doing City, if we lose a few cable viewers and Newmooners along the way we'll live with it.
They can always turn off the TV and go and do something less boring instead.
