Altercation at Terminal 2

For those condemning the officer for kicking/stamping the aggressor "under any circumstances".

I have read an article today stating that IS what he was supposed to do.
The protocol for dealing with an extreme aggressor when your weapon is drawn is to protect your weapon at all costs.
That means you keep your weapon in your hands at all times. The use of feet to suppress/subdue can be permitted, as is lethal force. Only an idiot would start swinging at an armed officer. They are actually very lucky people.

If he had just been knocked out. The officer wouldn't have known the guy had been tasered. He intention would have been to incapacitate until the threat went. He WOULDN'T be the one cuffing him, as he had to keep his weapon safe. His job was to secure him.
After he was sure he was down, he would have then moved onto the next threat. The other guy etc.

I'm not saying that is the motive for the kicking though. It could have been revenge/loss of control.
I posted from the very start that it didn't look good, but those making early judgements should wait for more info. Unfortunately, the forums apologist were straight out in force.
The people making this a race issue are also morons.
He was on the floor with his arms behind his back. I highly doubt any protocol involves a kick to the head in those circumstances.

Maybe because one was a law enforcement officer and one was a scrote. One was kicking someone in the head while they were on the ground and stomping on their head and the one on the ground was a scrote!

One of the things happens all the time, the other is (hopefully) a once in a lifetime crime!

How many ways would you like to hear why the focus is where it is?!

The members of the public who assaulted the police officers should be punished to the full extent of the law.

The police officer should be removed from armed officer ranks AT A MINIMUM. But, I think he should be charged. With what, I’m not sure, but you can’t be a thug with a badge and a gun.
Unless you are a cop in the USA..

His arms weren’t behind his back, they were to the side, plainly seen in the video, in fact his right arm was slightly under his body, because he had been tased and fallen down, your arms don’t suddenly go behind your back you flop to the ground, if that copper was dazed he could think the arm under the body might have had a weapon etc etc. the guy moves the copper uses his feet as he can’t take his hands off his taser. Had the twat not assaulated the coppers non of this would’ve happened, so fuck him.

If you can freeze time.
Indeed. There does seem to be a bit of VAR-type analysis going on in this thread.

I'm sure the real situation with two violent thugs attacking armed officers in a crowded airport felt anything like the sterile environment in which we are able to dissect it.

Probably one of the best posts on here. It gets it spot on and straight to the point.

I would hope whatever review into this the police carry out, takes all that into account, and the fact that the officer did ultimately avoid using his weapon. The issue is the minute the video was leaked it became a battle for public perception, and the distraction the instantly formed expectations bring with that. How hard or likely it is for them to remove that when looking at it, I have no idea.

The copper punched & dazed is making split decisions not knowing how many more attackers he’s going to face. He’s fighting for his survival, if they get beat where does it end. You’ve got to assume people attacking police with guns aren’t considering their consequences.

No coppers will lose their job for standing by & doing fuck all but is that the police force you want.

Think one of the main things they’ll be looking at is how the situation developed and it led to what it did too, that’s the bigger issue.

In terms of avoiding the use of his weapon, bear in mind he has his taser drawn when he kicks him, not his gun.

I still don’t think there’s enough in the public domain to know the full picture though.

Back in the day if you had an altercation with a police officer you would be taken out of sight, usually in the back of a black Mariah and given a good hiding then sent on your way.

This full length video clearly shows that the police were attacked and the people that did it are in serious trouble but sadly the officer that kicked out for me has a serious case to answer.

He kicked a man in the head and stamped on him and was clearly out of control and that is not acceptable and very unprofessional. The man that attacked the police was on the floor and the police had full control of the situation at that point.
