Altercation at Terminal 2

Do people seriously thinks those that were outraged by the boot and stamp on the head didn’t realise there was a fight with the police moments before?

This footage didn’t change much for me, it was as expected- they’re scum and deserve jail.

That doesn’t justify the boot and stamp the police guy did when he was on the ground, facing down. IMO.

There was no indication prior that the copper who did the kick had been battered, he was repeatedly punched in his face and back of his head. Changes everything, looking at the way he attacked them female police they should have stamped him to death the piece of shit.

At the beginning of the video when the guy is at the machine, the police officer comes and shoves his head into the machine twice without speaking with him or addressing him which starts the whole thing?
that wasn't what happened-the male immediately 'kicks off'.

one thing absent from the footage is sound-it is important.

You do know they were involved in 2 other potentially violent incidents minutes before? And the police officer wouldn't approached him silently, they would have given commands.

Wow you're a great lip reader. great skill to see their lips in 360p video with their backs turned. I'm really impressed

A lot of GMP officers have been contacted and threatened due to them sharing the new cctv footage on social media.

GMP going to have to be careful the way this is handled as morale was already at rock bottom across the force.

The results of any investigations could potentially tip staff over the edge.

I am only going by the slo-mo video I have seen. Not sure how I can upload videos on here though, maybe I can't.

I do, yes.

Not all, but most. They loosely knew from the statement there was an altercation, but the severity and extent, and the pace things moved at, they couldn't possibly have known. And the comments were put forward that way.

I stayed out of it the first thread, posted two comments then deleted them as the thread was already on a tightrope.

But this completely changes things now. He was not subdued, he Was a threat, and it was a split second action in an ongoing attempt to get control of the situation. He is clearly a violent and dangerous individual and even after that kick he still tries to get up for more and it takes two officers to keep him down.

The context for the investigation is very different now, and the police officer does not look like he has lost it any more than he now looks like he avoided a fatal shooting, which btw is at his disposal in such situations, which this could have resulted in.

Edit. Just to be clear, I fully agree with the principle that it is not up to police officers to dish out retribution or retaliate and get one back on an attacker. But this latest bit of context imo now changes whether the above is the case, at the very least heavily blurs it.

Fair points.

I already assumed that was the case.

I never assumed a police guy saw a bloke laying on the ground and thought he’d boot him in the head for the sake of it.

Burnham has pissed me off about this and in the main i think he has been a decent mayor.
However he comes out last week condemning the behaviour of the copper involved in the stamping incident but now the second video has come out last night he states

'' People now need to step back and allow the IOPC's criminal investigation into the officer's conduct to move forward, alongside the parallel GMP investigation into other potential offences, so that a complete picture can be presented,"

No mention of condemning the thugs that attached FEMALE police officers.
