I think the Soriano bit was a joke?Maybe so. That still doesn’t stop Txiki getting shit on here. Like when it was rumoured the fee was lower. Or that we sell our players for peanuts. All Txikis fault

I can't see Toney being happy as back-up to Haaland, and that's all he would be.Don't know if anyone agrees I would go and get Toney from Brentford if Alvarez moves on, spoke to an ex Bees player at Euro's and he reckons utd will get him. Me personally I think he's great unless he signs for them obviously.
Fuck that, it's £81mill just for the piss boiling. Its not £81 mill until we know what adds on are. La liga win? Unlikely. CL win? Unlikely. Balon D,or? Unlikely
I would be surprised if some of it isn't related to a set number of appearances. But in general I agree with you, although I would not rule out a la liga win. I don't think Champions League or Ballon D'OR are realistic and would be surprised if City included an add on for Ballon D’OR which seems to be a bit of a lotteryIts not £81 mill until we know what adds on are. I'm fuming.
While it looks on paper like a good fee
What are the add ons?
Who can we buy for 64 mill that is at least as good?
Will we buy anyone?
Will we go into another season with big holes- one striker and one dm.
Playing bobb up front is just like playing alvarez midfield.
The fact he has some average games were in midfield. I think playing him centre forward for a run of games, he would be class. I knoe we have haaland but when it was mentioned last season (yes I'll get stick) but Alvarez is the longer term better player. All round player. If haaland doesn't score he offers fuxk all. Where does the pressure for him to keep his form come from now?
It's not like we'll be playing with 10 men, someone will step in and he'll just be another footnote. His goalscoring ability will be a loss no doubt and we will have to replace that somewhere in the squad or externally if we go into the market.
But ultimately it sounds like he wanted to go and were not the type of club to stand in a players way. A potential £82m is a great deal for ultimately a back up striker.
