Why are people still banging on about it trying to justify their absence to people they don't know?

No way people couldn't afford £15, its bollocks, people didn't want to go, fair enough, no big deal but finance is a rubbish excuse

How the fuck do you know people can or can't afford £15 (and btw it was £20 on the night) you arrogant prat.

im getting sick of this shit.

Shall i give you an example of why what you just said is a load of bollocks.

I had to pay 2x £20 adult adult tickets
1x £5 kids ticket
2x £3 match program
3x train tickets from York @ £57 total
Food, Drink about £15
TOTAL £123.00

low cost night out that isnt it? Oh yeah and will be forking out the same again on Monday.

End of the day its got FUCK ALL do do with anybody who goes and who does not. I only go see my gran once a month does not mean I dont care about the old bat.

Rant over!
tbh i think he ment the local fans not the ones who have to travel long distances

yeah I know what you mean m8 but my point is that no matter how low the ticket prices are, if you dont have the money you dont have the money. I just think saying that "no way people can afford £15" is a little arrogant.

And even if I was still living in Manc it would have been £66

Did he bollocks, the stupid little twunt was giving me shit because I was sat in SOUTHAMPTON trying to sort out my tax issues.

I for one am glad the little pleb is taking a hammering, he is so far up his own arse it is unbelievable.
Didn't see him at Macclesfield, York, Lincoln, Chesterfield, Stockport et al in Division three.
Hypocrite.
And the little twat still never answered my questions in his original thread.

I think what pisses most fans off who go to these games like myself is the fact that alot of fans come back to the prem matches and say .... "well it was only league cup" or "it was only fulham/notts forest/midgitland etc"

Some one said last yr near me, im saving my money for the semis n final.... FUCK THAT, club should say if you have not been to more than so many of the previous cup games you cant have a ticket if we ever get to a final!!!!

I fully appreciate your situation - you go when you can. No worries there as far as I am concerned.

I didnt go last night even though I am fucking loaded, I earn about £3k per week and live in a big house, 2 cars and 5 kids.

I work on average about 3 days a week. Some weeks its 7, others 1 but hay thats life.

I didnt go cos I live in the North East now and could no be arsed for what was always gonna be a piss boring game.

I also tried up until yesterday avo to get a ticket online and couldnt and that swung it for me.

But I just didnt bother.

Sorry n that but as I have been following the blues for 35 years (since i was 4) anyone who cant get their head around that can go fuck themselves.

No chance you loaded with 5 of these :-) "joke"

Dons tin hat...

F*ck me the lad was only expressing his opinion and I agree with him. I am sick to death of people finding the money when its a premiership game and then suddenly not able to find the money for Fulham in the carling cup meaning the stadium is half full.

If you were a rag seasoncad holder you would have no choice but to pay for it !

My brother didn't go to Fulham either. Yes he's a died in the wool blue but he's just not as big a blue as I am for the simple reason that It's not as high on his priority list. If it were, he would have gone on Wednesday night.

That's fine, but you just have to accept that those of us who go to more of the games are more passionate fans than those who pick and choose or go infrequently. Those who try and deny that fact are deluding themselves.

Fair enough, there are economic circumstances that mean that people can't go and geographic reasons that some people can't get to every game I understand that – and if you are as big a blue as I am that must be frustrating as hell. But pull the other one I refuse to believe that the other 20 odd thousand who didn’t go on Weds are on the breadline !!!

Lets face it, everyone has choices and priorities and my priority is MCFC - I will do without, rearrange or miss a whole load of other things, to make sure I get to the game.

The guy at the top of the post has £150 quid a month spare - if you are local - that is enough to attend every home game each month. The guy chooses to spend that money elsewhere. That's fine but he can't claim to love the club as much as someone who is prepared to ensure they make every single game.

It’s hypocritical when people try and claim they are every bit as passionate about the club as I am and then find every excuse under the sun as to why they have ducked out of going to Fulham.

To me it's not a problem - although I would love it if the fans turned up week in week out - it’s your choice but just accept you are not as passionate about the club as those of us that make sure we get to every game.

Ooh eck mate. Do you know what you've done - you are now officially Kiam2.

I wish you well with your idea that youre more of a blue than the rest 'cos you spend all of your money on it.

Im just glad Im not youre kid or wife etc as wearing hand me downs and not being able to pay the gas bill due to your value system is hard on others.

Each to his/her own i suppose.

Some people can't afford to go to BOTH! And faced with the choice of going to Fulham in the Carling Cup or West Ham in the PL, most would rather choose the latter. Its not a case of 'if you can afford one, you can afford the other'
