I never named anyone, never intended to name anyone or highlight any post for particular attention.

I have made a general point about some supporters and no doubt all of us know of someone who broadly matches the description I laid out.

There are people in every walk of life who see themselves as 'elite' followers or fans be that football or star trek etc.

You quite rightly make the point that I know 'jack shit' about you and that is why I have deliberately not 'quoted' anyone in my last post or referred to any previous post directly or indeed indirectly.

If anyone (and Im not suggesting you here) sees themselves in what I have said then thats that persons view NOT mine as I dont know that person.

I am truly sorry if you have been offended as I was making a general point.

I am pretty sure though that what I said reflects my own viewpoint accurately.

We are however allowed to disagree and of course I havent abused you in anything I have said.

CTWD (City Til WE Die)?

Fbloke seriously not offended I only drew that assumption as you chose to make the point following my posts - therefore I kind of made a connection.

I'm not wishing to be divisive but just sticking up for someone (Kiam) who I felt had aright to be p*ssed off at the differential in attendances. Of course theri are serious reasons why people can't go but I don't believe those reasons can apply to over 20 odd thousand (nearly 50%) of our average support.

There are those fans who chose not to go simply bveacsue they couldn't be bothered and because it wasn't a big game and for me they are not as passionate supporters as those that do.

There are also no doubt people that went on Weds where money is equally tight but they did without other things to make sure they should go and to me they are more passionate fans.

The idea of fans being more passionate is a subjective one but I can live with that differentiation as it is clear that passion is unique to everyone.

I take offence at the idea (like many on here) that some people justify their own choices by running others down and de-valuing the priorities others have.

I suppose we all live in that 'passionate zone' at different stages of our lives but when all is weighed and measured many more could class themselves in the way that Kiam does as 'real supporters'

It is funny i suppose that it seems the people who are upset by Kiam and his 'type' are likely to have done that 'passionate' supporting in their earlier lives and have, as such had their apprenticeship as Blues.

If Kiam had made his point more sensibly and with less finger pointing and vitriol many like me would be amused and supportive of his passion.

But he didnt did he.

The snapshot of one game, in a given season will at some point catch Kiam not at the game.

Perhaps he will reflect on that at the time.

Good points well made, perhaps it's unfair to 'categorise' fans but it is a source of much frustration for me and obviously some others that we get 25,000 for a premiership cup tie - when we can get 47,000 for a prem game. It just strikes me as a tremendous amount of apathy amongst our support yet we never heard the end of the cup defeat by Brighton in the same competition last season.

I would assume that you believe me to be an 'elite' fan ? I would like to agree with you but then I'm sure there's some fans that don't miss a game home or away.

I think there's only one person that comes across as being elitist having read that pile of b*llox.

I'm glad your comfortable with your support of the club as am I.

'People of my ilk are unable to function as an individual in a social context.... wtf' !!!! You know jack sh*t about me except that I choose to go and support my team whenever they are playing at home.

Think you need to get over yerself mate... I pity your poor wife if that's the sort of drivel she has to put up with !!

What's your opinion BM, on the older fans who now have families, big mortgages etc. etc. who went to every game home and away year in year out when they had no ties. They now have to pick and choose and justify the expense (especially the aways) to the wife, but are still as obsessed and passionate as they were 40 years ago. (This isn't my personal profile, honest ;-)).

Don't get married and have the kids !! No, seriously

Of course, I respect that there are circumstances that are beyond people's control and that - despite a real desire to go - they simply just can't make it due to a lack of money, work commitments etc. there is absolutely no shame in that.

But I also reckon there are thousands of fans, who choose not to go for no more reason than its on the telly or they just can't be bothered to go or just unwilling rather than unable to shell out 15 quid.

It's those fans that annoy me and they are out there - I know several myself. Of course, they are free to do what the hell they like but they are just not as passionate about the blues it's as simple as that.

It's those 'fans' that infuriate me and embarrass the club (the result being a half empty stadium & crap atmosphere) with their part time attitude.

The ironic thing is they can often be the first to criticise the team for an under par performance (a la Nottingham Forest) but were that bothered they couldn't be arsed to go !

Although I hate to use the phrase the City Project is still only a year in and, like it or not the stadium will fill as more success is delivered.

Then of course the 'where were you when' argument will be more widely used ;-)

And so we go on, and on, and on

Live and let live.

For fucks sake, we'll be doing a head count soon to see who has the official City screen saver on their computers.

This place has needed a 'post your cock' thread for some time now, let all the lads get our their frustrations and see who has the biggest dick, biggest dick = biggest blue. Simple.

In the event of a tie breaker then who ever has the hardest Dad wins.

Im adept with PhotoShop so i reckon I win (deservedly or not ;-) )

Quit the car, get a 125cc motorbike/moped - petrol per month, tenner tops.

Reason for half empty stadium.........20 years of manure dominance, simplz. But all that is about to change so get your season tickets now before they become gold dust!!!!!!!!

Anyhow, I've never had a season ticket, just pick and choose games depending on my mood, BUT I went to every home game when we were relegated to the 3rd tier of football...no need! Still shocked by Pollocks own goal.....absoloute classic City.
