Not being rude but I'd bet a million quid that this thread wouldn't have existed in 1998.

Maybe not as many, but I have been a Blue since I was 16 (1991/92 season)...not to mention I think we would all have been writing to MCIVTA instead of Bluemoon.
what time's kick off tomorrow please? (uk time)

Grew up in Wisconsin and live in Chicago now. Been supporting City since 96. Following the World Cup over here I really got into football and was looking for a team to follow. After aimlessly wandering for a year or two Oasis broke over here, with the brothers supporting City I decided why not. Little did I know what I was getting myself into as we were quickly relegated a few times. Needless to say its been a roller coaster ride and I wouldn't change it for the world. Manage to make it over for a few matches a year. Good times.

I had a pint with this guy in Chicago a few months ago whilst we watched one of our games; he knows his beer too, ehehe

Despite what a lot of people mistakenly think, I'm a Brit who has been in and out of the US for quite some time; missing all the Kinky games.

Live in Pittsburgh,PA.... Started watching city play when i moved in with my roomate from england who love the rags then had two more from england who support chelski and arsenal this was about a 2 years ago or so since than i've fell in love with city and i get so much shit from them but i love city through and through

CTID since 2007

I chose City because of Hatton but also because of the annoying rag fans all over Central PA.

Northern KY here, just outside Cincinnati, OH where I work at a chemical plant.

Started following City at the end of the 06-07 season. Hate to say it, but I loved the loss to Blackburn in the FA Cup. That game really got my attention. It was so tragic, the boos raining down on Pearce, and that brunette woman in the crown yelling at him like he was a serial killer on his way to the hangman's noose! Then the whole takeover saga following the season really got me hooked.

Just the other day my wife wouldn't let me use her new Blackberry because all I would do is read about City and clutter her browser with too many Manchester City links.

Would love to go to one of the matches in the USA, but it would take an overnight trip for me and unfortunately the wife and I have too many bills and too many kids to pay for! At least they're showing the two games this weekend on tv.

what happened to brucie bonus?high profile u.s. city fan,not been around for a while now

He had issues. One moment nice as pie, next moment a wanker. He was permanently banned (for stuff that gets you a slap on the wrist on here usually) by one particular mod that had a personal vendetta.

The mod (who hides these days) knows who he is, what he did, and why he did it.

Philadelphia checking in .City since 1978 Maine Rd. Derby Cty 2 mcfc 1. Might havehad more funat that match than any other time in my life. Being a Philly guy, was great just to see people living and dying with every play, but in the end just enjoying a good time with friends and accepting the " typical city" result afterward off to the pub for several pints and twice as many laughs with blues I had met 3 hours prior, 2 of whom I am still in contact with today. See you all at COMS for the Villa Match. United can sit on it and spin.

Born and bred in Omaha, Nebraska, which is near enough the very center of the United States. City (and football) since 1997 in my freshman year of high school, when I was becoming bored with the usual American sporting fare and wanted something new to follow. I have zero family ties to Manchester or even England in general, but I chose City because it had history but wasn't really a bandwagon team, it wasn't convenience supporting (and obviously not the Rags, which also played into it), and because I liked the club's colors. I think Noel Gallagher was somewhat of an influence there for me, as well.

Flying out from Omaha to New York on Friday morning. Should (hopefully) have time to get settled at my hotel and get down to the Mad Hatter for a swift one before going to Harrison for the Sporting game. I'll be there through until Monday, but that's it for me on the tour. I have family in Potomac, MD, which would've kept my costs of going to Baltimore down a little bit, but I can't really afford it after the long weekend in New York.
