An apology to Mancini

He's won me over. I was also at Tottenham last season and the difference between that (Hart's saves keeping us in the match) and yesterday were incredible. I used to hate the defensive approach, playing too many players of that mindset and insisting 1-0 wins were the way forwards - but the team needed time to progress so earning points as needs must was a sensible approach.

You need the right players and balance in the team to attack, and many people said wait until Mancini has his players then judge.

Wenger sent Arsenal out to attack Utd at Old Trafford and they were humiliated. You can't just play attacking football all the time when pride and points are at stake. The away draws at Spurs and Arsenal were vital last season, and helped get us Champions League football and better players. And so we have moved on.

But the City and Utd games yesterday were one offs. Both london clubs were beset with injuries, suspensions and undermined by transfer sagas. Perfect time to play them.

We've have the physical and mental determination and toughness of the Mourinho built Chelsea, combined with the fluidity and technical prowess of Arsenal, right now we look exactly like that.

No team will boss us physically, and very few teams can match us in terms of skill.

That said, it's only 3 games in and it's easy to get carried away.

Kind of get your point but they had played the three w's and we have just played at two of the hardest grounds you go to, spurs first defeat in 19 games at home I believe.

You have been one of his biggest critics, but in the end it doesn't matter. Everybody understands what your frustrations were. We are blue, you are blue. We're family, let's forget the differences and celebrate what we have together, as blues. Divisions within a fanbase are pointless and stupid.

Now lets go out and twat Wigan at the Etihad. The season is ours and nobody wants or needs the "he said/she said" bullshit. Let's just all bask in the magnificence of the squad that we have. York away seems a very long time ago at present.

Great post only one thing I'd like to add.

Mancini is still a young manager and he's still going to make the odd mistake. Just keep calm though as a mistake this season might teach him something that will come in handy in a couple of years time when we're going for the quadruple ;-).

I have always been a big fan of his as i saw him as a proper football manager with amazing tactical knowledge..

Its important to remember that last year was Mancini,s first full season in the Prem. The guy has never managed in this league before and needed to suss out teams and find his feet..

The football was incredible at times yesterday but we have to remember that we are very early in the season and anything can happen..

I am certain though with this guy in charge we can go all the way and beyond..

Yeah, i don't want to sound like i'm on a downer, but...looks at Spurs central midfield yesterday, Modric and Krancjar? Good technical players, but there'd have to be something seriously wrong with us if we couldn't dominate against that central midfield pairing.

To have added Aguero and Nasri has addressed to creative problems we had last season, the over-reliance on Silva and Tevez, as a team and squad we look much more balanced i think. Hopefully we will maintain this excellent form and football like yesterday because our normal style rather than the way we play when we're at our peak, but we'll be coming up against far tougher opponents than Spurs were yesterday. They let us play that way.
