An End to Terrace/Armchair Managers vs Mancini...

And the problem being that Mancini didn't play '3 holding midfielders'. He played one; Yaya. A centre forward as in Edin Dzeko? No crossers of the ball as in Kolarov and the 'consistent' Adam Johnson?? Do you mean the injury prone 'tear-them-apart' Bellamy who's scored about 5 goals, this season, in a lower division??

You should read/ have a point before having a pop.

Bellamy was our best player behind Tevez last year and would have given us some much needed pace and width this year.

Mancini allowed personal differences to get in the way and that is bad management.

Last season is not this season and we can all see that Bells hasn't set the alight a lower division. There is no proof that he would even have been fit enough, at this stage, to even play, especially in light of us playing one of the most games of any team in the top flight.

I find the constant Bellamy issue a continual laughable point. Fans are grasping at straws, constantly.

Bellamy is still a better option than anything we've had on the left this season. I don't see how that is laughable? Jo getting a shirt in front of bellamy is laughable

The anti-Mancini brigade got their team and it was a disaster, so I suggest you let the man do his job, in his way as he sees fit.

Absolutely PMSL!!!!

No City team of mine would ever step out without Silva or De Jong, especially in a 4-4-2.

It was Mancini's worst performance yet and he's finished.

Saved me the trouble of quoting that line, Dave.

Unbelievable.

How silly of you, DD. You would have to drop Silva OR Tévez against a tall back line of the Dippers. You propose to offer what front line, then??

Your thinking on the game has to be one of the worst I've encountered.

No offence, like.

So Mancini manages to pick a team that virtually nobody in their right mind would have picked, and this is used as evidence that we don't know what we're on about and he does? I don't follow the logic in that argument at all.

You and me both, especially when we get murdered.

My "thinking" on the game being that Silva, Balo and De Jong should have started, you mean?

You drop "small" players against "tall" centre halves in schools football, not the premier league.

Same team as Sunderland with Zabalata at left back would have done for me.

-- Tue Apr 12, 2011 9:15 am --

It's called "Forzology".

The logic being, Saint Bob is always right, even when he's wrong.

But... But de Jong slows the game down!! Zabs is nowhere near match fit(as you should know with him being at his father's bedside for quite a while!). Mancini chose a 'little and large' forward line, which would have been correct. I think he gambled on Tévez coming through the game unscathed, him being injured at Chelski 2 weeks ago.

In any case, he would ended up with big and small as a forward line.

So, where's your logic?

I'll stand up and reply to this as one of those you are referring to: I pay a lot of money to watch MY Club (52yrs) and I have a right to say how I feel about how its being run.
The Team dont play as a 'Team' - they clearly dont like the manager and how he asks them to play. Maybe they dont understand it - his tactics certainly baffle me.
The Manager has constantly played x3 holding midfield players (not even Stoke do that!).
He buys a centre forward but has not made provision for this by having anyone who can cross a ball - then admits it.
He gets rid of Bellamy whilst bringing in Balotelli (need I say more?).

Oh hell - the list goes on and on and on................The problem last night summed up the entire Season. One winger to supply TWO centre forwards. No link between midfield and attack. Gareth Barry. No team ethic. Sideways football. Players looking bewildered, clueless and ruderless. Having some ability but unable to use it.

The truth hurts pal, maybe you dont like it but there it is and I for one dont want more of it next Season and I wont stop asking questions about how MY Club is being run....................

its no good making sensible points bigga ,too many folk only see what they want to see.
Bobby should have set up like he did at almost every other away match, aimed to dominate posssesion and nick a goal...i really think he was responding to the idiots who demand entertainment every match..like the old gullible city..how good would a nil nil draw have been last night,or a 1nil win after a tight defensive display?...at the end of the day we need champions league football....just let bobby get on with delivering it in a style true to his instincts..we should have bored the pants off the scousers last night and hit them on the break.
get back to doing what your good at Bobby...
