And so it begins...

Opening gambit..."have a little patience....still hurting from a love I lost"....Cavani?

But we won the title...so we can't be hurting, or can we? Not enough money gained from our European experience, meaning the pain and suffering of FFFP?

But next line....."I'm feeling your frustration....any minute the pain will stop"...is that the frustration of supports due to lack of transfer activity, or the pain of having to watch Garcia?

I don't think Tolmie posts the videos to be dissected like this. It's usually just the name of the song you need to be bothered about.

I blame the Hairdoo..

Sky Bet have cut the odds on Manchester City signing Real Madrid midfielder Isco this summer following a run of bets today, with the Premier League champions now 6/4 to secure his services.

Favourites for Barkley as well. Odds on they both stay though......
Correct, this is the most likely outcome.

I would rather give Jovetic more playing time by using him as striker or attacking midfielder instead of buying Isco.

It's like selling your Lamborghini to buy a Porsche.

Jovetic has played about 40 games more yet has almost double the goals (30 vs 59) and not far off double the assists (20 vs 36).

To have both players would be fantastic but I'd argue you're better to have Jovetic than Isco.

Jovetic is only two years older.

There are plenty of players with much better goal + assist stats than the likes of David Silva. You can't use goal and assist stats when comparing a player who is primarily a striker to a player like Isco.

Jovetic also gives us something different from our other attackers. he is similar to Tevez. He is constantly busy creating and is also very direct. He also isn't afraid to go from long range. Having said this he isn't as deadly a finisher as Aguero.

Jovetic is the type of player that can produce something from nothing and will be important this season. He has all the attributes to be outstanding. Of course, hopefully injuries will not ruin his season.

Isco is also a very good player who I (like so many others on here) would have in a heart beat. In all honesty I haven't seen Isco play very much (Jovetic I saw him play in Serie A with La Viola as Serie A is popular here and therefore like to watch as many matches as possible). To me, Isco seems more like Silva, though maybe slightly more clinical. Of course, if we get Isco we would have to get rid of another non-HG player.

That's not really true though Silva has fantastic assists stats. Better than 1 in 3 in the PL. Isco is about 1 in 8 in La Liga.

As it is Isco actually scores more goals than he gets assists which suggests he is at least loosely comparable to Jovetic, as a goal-minded attacking midfielder, rather than a true playmaker. Also possibly not the ideal Silva back up that many suggest.

Imo right now Jovetic is a superior player, Isco has amazing potential but perhaps wouldn't have the massive impact a few might expect. I think he'd find it hard to displace Nasri - who imo is very important to ua tactically in marshalling the ball and building attacks. Definitely Jovetic shouldn't be leaving to make way for Isco.
