And so it begins...

I've got a bad feeling about this transfer window. Reminds me of the one after we last won the league.
Why? Because we haven't bought someone that you want in your FIFA 15 team? In the transfer window you mention, we panicked and bought 5 players on deadline day. We've already done most of our business and it's still early in July. There are no similarities at all.
It's a transfer window, at the same time of year, that's the only similarities

A couple more if Rodwell and Milner leave.

Are we looking a shifting a foreign bit part player to be replaced by a english bit part player to bring us in line with prem and eufa rules? Ie garcia???

If Mangala/Benatia joins, someone *has* to leave or can't play Premier League + Champions League football because we'd be over the quota. There's no one in our non-homegrown crew I can see accepting only domestic cup games.

It has to be Garcia leaving, surely, and it's hard to see any other non-homegrown joining that unless we're forced into selling Yaya (looks like Negredo stays now?).

Yaya out barkley/pogba in would solve everything

When is this news from last night likely to be broken mate?

I heard the manager wanted everything sorted for the American trip.

Did you post earlier in the week that city had told mangala he had until the end of the week?
Or have I just made that up?

Oh, you noticed that too?

Feel free to also source his articles on how Moyes was also the second coming.

The TV pundits have been throwing in it for the last couple weeks how Van Gaal is a tactical genius.

On another note, I would like to see City throw Toure a major curve ball if he continues to play up.

If he wants to line his pockets tell him he can have a £5m bonus if he beats last season's goals tally.

That goes for all our strikers.

What a great time to be a present City player under FFPR. Goldmine time.
My only issue with that is that I don't want our players to be greedy fuckers, not passing when they should, just to chase financial rewards. We need to promote a team ethos, not individual gains.
I would think that the deficit bonuses are 'team related' in the main

Will there be any more signings after the center back position is sorted? I imagine we'll have a few quid left over from a couple sales.

richards and sinclair as well i suppose, but that would leave us a bit short on homegrown players

While I agree with your assessment, I wish we could all stop using the "You're just a kid playing Football Manager" or "Did you get that from your FIFA Ultimate team management experience" insults when responding to opinion. There are a few comments where it is obvious the poster has little knowledge of what they are talking about, to be sure, but the vast majority are just presenting their perspective and using that phrasing turns a debate into a contra affair (and sometimes into a brawl). It's unnecessarily adversarial and I think the forum would benefit from less of it.

Anyway, resume normal broadcast.

McDonnell is one of many bitter reds (or people under the red spell) in the media.

But none are worse than Jamie Jackson IMO. He is supposed to be "The Guardian's Manchester football correspondent" but all he does is fawn over United. Anything City is a mundane article or snide dig on Twitter.

I'll raise you a Mark Ogden.

Nobody takes Jackson seriously, he has no contacts and simply hides behind his broadsheet brief of commenting after the event - a sort of Sky Sports News we understand kinda job.

Too many members of the public attach a supposed respectability and legitimacy to working for broadsheets, they are no better than the tabs.
Ogden is probably the worst of the fucking lot,a cockroach as GDM would say
Herbert & Bates are close behind too.

Ogden has me blocked on twitter for warning him to be very careful when visiting the Etihad.

That's why you should always end those warnings with "the streets are fairly uneven and there are larges holes everywhere" to avoid appearances of threatening bodily harm.

Appearances.

Yep. As all our competitors improve drastically. Prepared to get demolished at by the sunshine pumpers though. Same thing happened 2 years ago.
