For me being the best suggests at least an element of longevity or of a career. Two records is what the Roses managed. Not enough to be the best.

It has to be the smiths or the roses for me, as for oasis even though some of the songs are classics I find I would rather listen to the man from delmonte, newfads, doves, elbow or the carpets
