I would of voted for Joy Division but they were a little too miserable so I might have to go with The Smiths.

Actually out of all Manchester bands I can think of off the top of my head, my real vote would go to The Buzzcocks. To do what they were doing in the first stage of macho punk, must of taken a lot of guts.

Plus they had some quality tunes.

I don't rate oasis but you're a bit of a tool sometimes. You seem to think your opinion is fact because you write reviews that nobody reads. You aren't a music expert, you're a fan like any of us.

I think he was on the wind up, hes simply pointing to the fact every city fan these days thinks oasis are god because they're city fans. I'm pretty sure if they were united fans half of them wouldn't like them anymore. Writing in that big font was tongue in cheek of how people throw it in your face on here

I read an article recently that claimed Oasis' Album and single sales alone were more than all other Manchester artists combined. Means nothing to me really, just found it interesting. The Smiths are undoubtedly the best band btw.
