That was what jarred with me. If it had been relevant or true that would have been okay, but it wasn't an answer to the question, and claiming credit for Oxford/AZ is Trumpian.

It clearly is programmed in that they are unable to to say that anything wrong was done, when sometimes it would play quite well to admit it.

He gets away with it because looking like a chancer on Marr isn't hugely significant - Andrew Neil would eviscerate him.

Because amongst other things people believed the bluff and bluster act that you have just witnessed was actually something of substance - that an average game show host was up to the job of leading the country - its happened both sides of the pond hence two of the once most respected countries in the world have become a laughing stock
