I get that he work his way to the top, I get the dedication to win 3 majors, especially with all of the pressure around his neck and the fact that there are two bona fide legends operating in the same era, I get that he comes across as dour but really has a fantastic personality and is quite funny...I get all that, I just don't like him. never have, never will. He comes across as a right ****.

As does him Mother, although there's something about her that I quite like...

Shame he's retiring at a comparatively young age but fucking hell that press conference was embarrassing.

3 Bona Fide legends, any of Federer, Nadal, Djokovic or Murray would have dominated other eras in tennis. Murray will be a loss to the sport.

For my money he's Britain's greatest ever sportsperson. Competed and won (a fair amount) in what was one of the most difficult eras that any sport has seen.

People branding him as miserable just don't have a grasp on dry humour, simple as that. He's very subtly funny.

Also I'd bet that there's a strong correlation between the people still spitting their dummy out about a light-hearted jibe Murray made about 13 years ago, and the people who go around calling people "easily offended snowflakes". Weird.
