Andy Murray to retire

Not at all mental health has no prejudices. Being upset that something isn't going your way is not a mental health issue.

Being emotional that the career you've worked towards your whole life is coming to an end is fairly normal though.

That was a fight and half.

There must be some grief attached to letting go of something you've enjoyed doing for the majority of your life?

I don't hate him I just hate his petulant behaviour at his press conference. Sure it's upsetting when you can't do the things you love but he's had a great life jetting round the world and earning £85 million in the process. There won't be a knock at the door from the debt collectors wanting his telly and his family will want for nothing financially. He needs to remember that.
He has earnt that wealth by the commitment and effort he has put in and the sacrifices to a 'normal' life he has made.

I dont think money has ever been his motivation anyway,he has simply wanted to be the very best he could be and now he faces the prospect of that prematurely ending, which has understandably devastated him.

Was he at a tennis press conference or a press conference to discuss his wealth to miserable fucks who are jealous of him

Not specifically Murray, but it always makes me laugh when there's prize money for some event and you always get someone saying "not bad for a couple of hours work". Try 20 years work to get to that point.

Bang on,being a Champion is a 24hr occupation,it never ends.....every aspect of your life is dedicated to that one goal and nothing can distract you because you can guarantee it wont be distracting your rivals/competitors.

Lining himself up for more retirements that Sinatra.

Similar to the poorly baconface thread I need to keep out of this one.

Spot on.
It’s going to get milked to the max - and then some,
It’s going to be unbearable: the ‘will he?’ or ‘won’t he?’
play at Wimbledon saga. It will drag on longer than Brexit!
