Lee in mentioning his exes or current girlfriend SHOCKER ;)
Hahaha! well what can i say ;)

Did someone just say Birmingham fans are the most scary? I'd say they used to be up there but last season, they just had a few embarrassing kids who well, made a fool of themselves. I've honestly never laughed so much in my life.

As for Anfield.. I don't mind it and I think Liverpool fans are a decent bunch although rather deluded!

Woodison is terrible...horrible ground and horrible fans.

"Your wecome not to come"
Works both ways mate don't go to GP or Anfield. I'm not planning on going to COMS as I probably won't get tickets.

When it comes to good natured banter you can't beat a Scouser......

I've been in pubs round Goodison with Everton-supporting mates and usually travel to the match on the Soccerbus and never had any trouble at all. In fact it's always been a great laugh.

But I do wonder what impact Gollum's whingeing had on Everton fans' attitude towards us? Managers need ot think before they speak, particularly about other clubs.

Spot on mate-he twisted the Lescott situation to his advantage that season and used it to help gain 6 points against us-two Everton "cup finals" that our players seemed totally unprepaired for.

Trouble is,it's dead easy to tap into the Scouse "injustice-ometer" but pretty tough to turn off.

The sense of edge he strirred up between us and the dippers will be around long after he's jumped ship.

after visiting friends on the wirral and going into liverpool to take in some beatles history,i decided to show my eight year old lad liverpool and evertons grounds(as football and city are fast taking over his life) on the way home and to be honest driving around anfield was a real eye opener, rows of empty terraced houses, concrete decay, fronts of houses missing...now to me it didn`t look like the workmen were ready to move in asap,it looked like it had been that way for some time though i must say the area around goodison wasn`t like anfield at all,me and the mrs was in shock at the state of the area, especially as only a few miles away the centre of liverpool has had a major overhaul and looks quite modern...i`d just like to throw the question out to anybody who has been to anfield and goodison, how was your experience visiting the scousers?

their newsagents are quite efficient

Going to Anfield and Goodison in the late 70s and 80's was an experience to say the least. You had to have your wits about you all the time, before and after the games especially.

They used to pick out small groups of City fans who in the most part didn't wear any colours by asking them the time. Unless you did a good scouse accent or found another way of telling them the time you were marked.

Then if you came by car to Anfield you had to escape the gauntlet of kids throwing bricks from a bridge and I mean bricks, as you were driving towards the East Lancs.

The coppers didn't want to know. I think someone had to be murdered before they did anything.

All in all an adrenalin sapping visit to both grounds.

Having said that, away teams coming to Maine Road would have experienced the same.

fortunately neither have gone to the real dump that is goodison, where if you do get a view you are one of the luckiest alive
If you're at the back of the lower tier at Goodison it's literally like watching the game through a letter box.

Last season I was out at the front but the season before I was on the last row of the Lower Bullens. It's like a letter box with someone sticking broom handles across the opening to interfere with yer view. HOWEVER Goodison Park will always hold a place for me - first footy ground I ever visited - England v Scotland Boys. It'll be a sad day, second only to Maine Road when it gets demolished.
