Angel Di Maria

Di Maria is a quality footballer, we would do well to get him.
Anyone who says any different hasn't a clue what they are talking about...

But I don't see us going for him as we're getting Navas who in my opinion is half the player Di Maria is...

-- Sun Jun 09, 2013 9:28 pm --

I think he is much better than Navas.

Thank you.

Whenever I've seen him he's played on the right wing, and been impressive despite being prone to giving the ball away a little too often, but if he could play on the left we could go 4-3-3 with him on the left and silva in centre midfield playing a gundogan-esque role for the team. Would prefer isco though and I'm not sure we could incorporate both of them.

Di Maria seems grosssly underrated here. He is a rapid run at the defender kind of player. Kind of like Navas. But his vision is way better, and some of his touch passes are something to behold.

It is true he loses the ball some, and can be quite selfish sometimes. But in my mind if we get Di Maria and Navas on the wings, thne those 2 togethr would be better than just signing Bale, That is how good tha acquisition will be. We'd have our version of Bayern's Robben and Ribery tearing up the wings. It would be fantastic.

So front 6 of:

--------------Aguero----------------
Di Maria------Silva----------Navas
---------Fernandinho--Yaya--------

Isco, Thiago, Milner, Barry, Tevez?, Guidetti?

Seems like a title winning squad. Suddenly the fastest in the league.

Without a clinical finisher. Navas & Silva won't contribute much in the way of goals. There would be no guarantee di maria would hit the ground running in England. All the formations i keep seeing look hugely reliant on Aguero staying fit for the whole season as well as being overly reliant on him to be ruthless in front of goal which I don't think is something he has in his locker.

He is a great footballer but he has that habit of going down when a player gets within 12 feet of him
