Cannot believe that many are doubting how good Di Maria is, if he was signing for us it'd be the complete opposite a giant wankfest. No defence would like to play against him, just ask that Atletico one from the CL final.

Yep looks works class in parts but lets see him play half a dozen games in an average side before we judge him in the hardest most competitive league in the world plus playing in a side full of stars gives certain players freedom to perform, this move to a team well down on stars plus the spot light being well and truly on him might make him freeze and be a total flop!!
Yeah but how many times has he out performed those world class stars? Even for Argentina at times he's got them out the shitter when Messi couldn't. Recently Atleticos manager was also saying he was the best player Madrid had. Don't get me wrong I'm not worried about Utd one bit coz they're Shit, but a lot are vastly under rating one of the world's most exciting players.

That's the thing like my previous post playing in a team of world class players the spot light ain't on you at the scum he is the man he HAS to perform its all on him to perform! Now he may well perform and be an unbelievable player for them but with the spot light well and for the first time in his career he might be to much for him and be a massive flop...

Fee of £59.7m agreed between Real and Man Utd for Di Maria, pending medical. Transfer now a formality
It's interesting that everyone (including Sky) are stating this £59.7m fee with almost no one mentioning any add ons. Yesterday Sky were reporting that the fee is €75m (£59.7m) plus €15m (£11.94m) in add ons. Which is your money on?

Can anyone seriously tell me why Di Maria wants to leave Madrid, the current European champions, playing alongside players such as Ramos, Tranny, Benzema, Alonso, Modric etc and come to a team who can't even offer European football and he will be playing with the lkes of Smalling, Cleverley, Carrick, Fletcher etc. Has he fallen out with Ancelotti, does he not like the formation Madrid play or is it simpy his agent wants one last big pay day from him.

Tiddlywink night at Zabbas has become quite the thing on the Argentinian players social calender.

I bloody knew it wasn't anything to do with the rags being his boyhood club! Still not sure why they are spending a fortune on a player who although will add something to them going forward does nothing to address the fact they need an entire back four (or three if he continues this notional 343 formation).

does di maria not realise he has gone from playing with Ronaldo, bale and benzema to now playing with fletcher, cleverley and young!!
kind of like getting rid of katy perry to start dating vanessa feltz...
he`s in for a very rude awakening....

Probably is about 75m but the rags are briefing the media that it is £59.7m to make it seem less that they are overpaying.

The rags year on year continually inflating the market !!!

I don't know what the listing requirements are on the NYSE but it maybe that they will have to make an announcement to the market over such a financially material record breaking transfer. There's nothing as yet, but of course the US market does not open yet,

On SSN they just said if the Di Maria transfer goes through, ManUre will have spent more in one transfer window than any other British club ever.

Another thing. I've noticed that wince the season has started, no-one seems to have mentioned how much money we've spent since the takeover or how much our total squad costs. Brenda didn't mention it last night when he usually does and all Pardew had to say was that we've assembled a really powerful squad that you can only really appreciate the quality when you see us up close.

Perhaps now they can see that most winning teams have invested in success. ManUre haven't turned to their acadeny to resolve their short comings and Mendieta has said that Real have always had a policy of buying the best instead of growing their own. Only Barca can truly claim to have grown the majority of a successful team organically and even then they had to sprinkle it with stardust which they bought. But even now after winning squat last season, Barca are now Europe's top spenders along with ManUre, Chelsea and Liverpool. This is exactly what FFP was meant to achieve.

If there's one upside of FFP, its now highlighted the bullshit accusations everyone has levelled at us since our takeover. Money = Success........
